Anyone else caught in the cuffufle around the Brighton area today?

Empty train (minimally) derailed and severed a power cable. No trains coming ans going for ages.

Funny stuff when the network falls apart

I don't doubt you!

Of course it can be frustrating at times, but I'm astounded about how worked up some passengers get. Expressive sighing, moaning out loud (to themselves and others) and all the other nonces. I honestly just laugh when stuck in it all.

Surely people have to realise that an issue somewhere can affect the whole network and beyond? Too many self-absorbed commuters

The twitter feeds are hilarious. Commuter rage like no other.

Try dealing with the twit face commuters (I don't btw)

People only see what they want to see.

There is so much red tape on todays railways.

1st they have to agree on cause of derailment was it a broken rail or points not alining correctly.

2nd then agree on who will foot the bill for rerailing is it the Train operating company or Netwrok Fail.

3rd a team needs to be assembled to cary out the rerailing sometimes they have to come down from up north as the company that rerails cant muster a team together.

4th to rerail the team need a safe enviroment so all trains need to be stopped in that area.

5 train crews run out of hours to work trains or dont want the over time due to late running (they have home lives too )

Privatisation has now created a monster and the passengers ( Customer) looses out.

Sailed through brighton this afternoon around 3ish and in Bournemouth by 5.30.....

Nice backing music by Mr sheeran....comfortable seats, cruise control and aircon on...., 3.0ltr just purring away.

Every reason why I don't use the train..., it sounds like stuff of nightmares and you pay for it......

But even the roads are starting to go the same way! As soon as anyone is injured in an accident then the car has to be de-roofed so they can get them out without worsening their condition, the Fire and ambulance boys and girls want a safe working area, shut the whole road down and you`re stuck the there for hours on end because they can`t turn traffic back, no food, no drink, no toilets. At least you have a fighting chance of some toilets on a train and possibly some food and drink!

Fair play........, but ill prefer my car anyday as chance of delays (leafs on the line, wrong type of snow, jumpers, no seats, people on mobiles) to name a few are to off putting (use to travel on train everyday and won't catch me doing it again)
