I have decided I wouldn't mind getting some extra exercise by doing a bit of hiking, I would like to have a go a map and compass navigation, see if I can get the hang of doing it, get out their in the middle of nowhere and take in some stunning views while getting fit.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Are you joining a hiking group or just taking yourself off?

I'm doing lots of new things this year. Some I want to do but others are challenges.

My yoga group is coming to an end in two weeks so I thought I'd have a go at Pilates but I hated it so I need to find something to replace my yoga sessions.

have you ever tried Zumba it's a bit more like Salsa dancing but my local class is great fun no pressure to keep up with others as I've just returned after 5 months and do what I can with my leg injury

Well I have been watching videos on youtube to try and get the basics, just ordered a hiking map for the area not to far from me, so I will get out there and stay local nothing to hard to home my map reading skills and take it from there, wouldn't mind getting some advice from people more experienced.

We hike a lot and also enjoy walks along the canals - you might find these links useful as well for days when you aren't in the mood for scrambling up hillsides but still want to get out and walk and maybe have a pint in a canal side pub at the end of it.
