I never usually watch programmes like Skint, now I realise why!

Is Merthyr Tydfil really like that?

I haven't seen the programme but that's where half my family were from ("were" being the operative, most of them got out) and i think I can guess exactly how the programme went....

Caerphilly Cardiff Merthyr Tydfil

I lived on merthyr for most of my life, it's a great place but it's had an awful lot of bad press, there is a lot of unemployment and yes there is culture of living on benefits,but the same as any city or town in the UK if you look hard enough you will find the same there. I love going back to see my family and friend's
