as an owner of a memory foam matteress i would say go for one, although they are expensive.

a cheaper alternative is a memory foam matteress topper, might even save you a few bob not having to buy a whole new one.

Word of caution, ladies that gush can make it very very wet, and it can take ages to dry.

I've got a deep memory foam mattress, and yes it can be an issue after a good session...

Even in a superking avoiding a huge damp patch can become a bit tiresome...

I've just recently purchased a pocket sprung mattress with a latex cushioned topper from Dreams. I highly recommend it. I'm sleeping better than ever before

I belive Ikea mattresses are a slightly different size to normal uk ones. If you want it to fit properly you'll probably need to get the topper from Ikea as well

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Evie! I sympathise. I took almost a year deciding which mattress to get.

I had a memory foam topper on my old bed and I was too hot - there is no cool spot with memory foam. It did give my old mattress an extra two years though and it was comfy when I wasn't feeling hot.

If you are on a mattress you like in an hotel or elsewhere just find out which one it is.

Don't buy cheap as your back is too precious to trust to a lumpy mattress.

If you are looking for the best type of bed you have to go pocket spring- individual springs not continuous.

If you have the money to spend as above poster said Relyon are absolutely divine. 10 year guarantee- the most comfortable and durable mattresses money can buy.

Memory foam has been cleverly marketed but not a patch on pocket sprung xxx

The latex cushioned one that I've got is similar to a memory foam mattress but doesn't make you warm like a memory foam one.

We have just bought a memory foam mattress, a really thick one and even though we went for

firm-ish and its beautiful to sleep on...he can't quite get proper leverage on it during sex! Certain positions are out of the window while at home now!

A male friend mentioned the difficulty with leverage on memory foam.

Dunelm do waterproof mattress covers that are a world apart from those horrible ones that make you hot and make the bed slippery.

When I got my memory foam mattress I got one of those and it's brilliant. Especially since I have an elderly cat with kidney problems who occasionally has accidents...

Is there one whose name starts with Air-something, super comfy but was £600 from the Co op closing down sale.
