A Real Company After 10 Years

I've just had the best month of my life at work since the last firm I worked for was taken over by a bunch of accountants ten years ago and despite their expertise profits went down and down, so widespread redundancies.

The new firms computers are now used to make lives easier not creating endless forms for us to manually fill in, boring powerpoint presentations that stop us working and stop us wanting to live.

I'm left to get on with it and we've landed a huge contract from my old firm as we could undercut them, as we don't pay a load of accountants, project managers to produce the crap described above and still making a great margin and will make a better product. So who has got a payrise already!!

Please don't let it stop.

Sounds like good news for you. If you're now happier with your job and new company perhaps you can stop sounding so bitter about the old one.

No just relieved, I was bitter when I worked for them.

Got one contact off them, now to get another.

.

That's the best way to annoy them!.

Company takeovers are usually messy as most like to push their own agendas for improvement!

You're telling me, back with small private company, only a turnover of around £15 million, but owned and run by people who know what they're doing.

No good asking me I've worked for myself nearly all my life, although I have found the companies I've worked for are best when the bosses can stop themselves from interfering in every job, some bosses are totally power crazed and unable to let their staff do their job, I think it's understandable when you see a company a persons started from scratch, it becomes their "baby" but it never really helps

Yes and no, the company I worked for before the management couldn't give a toss about the company, they were completely embroiled with internal politics, create a problem, solve it and then take the credit for solving the problem they created, the irony is a lot of people think they're obsessed with money, actually they haven't a clue about money, they waste so much.

Owner/managers (although some a bastards) are completely different ballgame you deliver they'll thank you, because good employees cost them nothing, the customer pays them.
