Titz Towers, North Notts

Not wishing to hijack Lickety's thread, who would you like to see host Have I got news for You?

I'd like to see Daniel Kitson host it, or perhaps Lilly Savage

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Katherine Ryan - I like her little rants.

Sandi Toksvig as she's just wonderful at everything.

Clare Balding as she's a national treasure.

Stephen Hawking as he's on comedy all the time these days.

Hello all,

there hasn't been a better presenter than Angus Deaton in my view.

Anybody who can read from the dammed autocue.

"Anybody who can read from the dammed autocue.

It is but not everyone does well with the autocue. Some make it seem that it's their voice but others make it clear that a team of bloody good writers put the words in their mouths.

The fact they haven't used Terry Scott shows that ageism is alive and well at the BBC, unlike Terry Scott.

The role requires a degree of something that is certainly lacking in Angus Deayton

Titz Towers, North Notts

I was thinking Christopher Lee, but I think he's living on his name a bit now.

Barry Cryer would be good value for money.

I think Gazza could be fun if of course he is on the mend.

Mrs Browns Boys the "old woman" would be fun too

Aye. But it would have been fun to see Hislop and Merton rip him to pieces like they did to Deaton.

"Richard Ayoade. But I just love him anyway. "

The court scene in The IT Crowd is one if the finest pieces of comedy I've seen in recent years.
