UGH!! I hate those! I can put up with spiders - just about, but when daddy long legs start fluttering about I have to leave the room. My little cat used to eat them - but sadly she is no longer with me, so I will have to think of a new way of dealing with them.

You need a gert big fly swatter

When holidaying in north wales and stopping at a little ghost town called borth..

There was a house which one side was painted white and they used to breed there and there were fookin millions of them.

Comming out of ya caravan was a nightmare because you couldnt dodge them at all.

I hate killing things though - but sometimes it just has to be done. I can't stand being in the same room at the things!

They seem to derive some pleasure from dancing round your head.

Bet there laughing their heads off watching us scream and run about trying to dodge them

There was a boy at school who was absolutely phobic about them. The other boys collected loads of the spindly little horrors in crisp packets at lunch time and secretly put them in his school bag.

What ensued in our Maths lesson when he opened that bag and they all flew out can only be described as utter mayhem. I'm still traumatised over 30 years later

We've had them for ages here

Was wondering just how long they live for as they don't seem to be dying off

If you catch them and pull their legs off it's great fun watching them trying to fly as they can't land anywhere and eventually they get knackered and fall to the ground like a WW2 fighter plane crashing.

"Some bloody cruel buggers on here xx "

But it's excellent sport when you adopt a 1930s type commentary voice as you watch them crashing, using phrases like "Pip pip, tally ho, and there's another blighter going belly up!"

I couldn't be cruel to anything - not even a DDL. My OH's solution is to gather them into a carrier bag and squirt hairspray into it - not when I'm around though. I'd have to defend them!

Like "what do you call a fly with no legs ?"

A walk

What do you do with a dog with no legs?

Take it for a drag.
