O my gosh, I must be a total mess lol.

Lasy year I had my hair cut in May then not again til late summer this year.

Now mine is due to money(lack)of and havent ever had a manicure but would love one.

I did have my hair cut about 8 weeks ago and was heavenly and made me feel great. the fringe has grown so cut it myself a week ago as was getting on my nerves so no one look at my fringe lol.

I would love to spend more on things like haircuts,nails,feet.... but am not in that situation. I cut my kids hair myself but have just begun taking my eldest to the barbers.Mind you I was trying to grow my hair last year so wasnt too much of a problem not having it cut.

Fingers crossed once I get into paid work again then haircuts and colour at hairdressers will become a regular thing.

Love to be a high maintenance lady tho lol.

Is it not about whatever it takes to make you feel good - if you can afford it.. have it. If you cannot do something that makes you feel good the cheaper option, a chat with friends, a walk in the autumn forest, a glass of wine in a hot bath - whatever makes us happy?

.

I have to have a hair cut every month costing about 40 GBP.

My hair is very difficult to cut, hence the high price for a good cutter.

I have had 3 regular hairdressers in the past 18y as good cutters are difficult to find, hence I stick with mine until I have to relocate to another area.

As for nails, I can't wear nail vanish or false ones due to my line of work.

I prefer to do my own nails though, as I do a better job than the couple of salons I have visited.

As for clothes, I am fortunate to have some gorgeous formal wear made for me courtesy of my mother when I went to visit her in Hong Kong last year.

I am a casual comfy kind of girl when it comes to clothes. Trainers, jeans, and shirts are my stable.

I have got a "play" wardrobe, and is forever expanding!

When I dress up for a formal event, it can take as long as 3h just to do the make-up, hair, and get dressed. Nails would need to be done the night before!

Am I high maintenance? I do not believe so, however, I do push the boat out when required.

Hence my previous post about me being a low maintenance short hair cat with high maintenance tendencies of a long hair cat!

I cannot remember where I read this a few days ago (and it confirmed what I knew already)

Essentially, all creams and moisturisers, beauty products contain the same or similar ingredients , possibly in varying proportions... so instead of lining the pockets of a handful and paying for a name, it is worth looking at ordinary middle of the range products. Ok, the "feel good factor" is perhaps not quite there, that element of luxury and being spoilt... but in times of economic uncertainty and many having to make choices perhaps not a bad idea?

i always used a very "middle of the range" product..but honestly the creme de la mer is a miracle cream...i never would have thought it would be that different but it just is...but when it runs out ill be back on the simple stuff !!! nothing justifies 110 a pot !!

I am lucky that I have been blessed with a good complexion, thanks mum.

I spend nothing on Moisturisers etc as my skin is naturally oily.

I wear minimal make up, mainly due to the fact that I am useless at putting it on.

My nails and hair are my treat to me

Bare face chic here! Can't wear make up at work, so I got used to it. Feel weird with make up on nowadays.

Again, I am blessed with good skin, thanks to my mum's advice to use moisturiser at an early age. With naturally dry skin, I need a good moisturiser.

Actually I never use any moisturisers either to be honest - been told time and again every woman over 30(!!!) should but I think good skin is a lot down to genes...
