I'm a pussy fan myself, but I did meet a man with a bearded dragon which used to watch us have sex. I think it was called Clive.

My cat used to have a nosey at their cage and couldn't get to them, but yeah i wouldn't have trusted her in the room with them out the cage.

They're nice and soft to hold and stroke, like nibbling hands (doesn't hurt, it tickles), but very fast and love exploring and can climb stairs too.

I'd recommend them, with a heavy cage that a cat wouldn't be able to get into.

Gonna get chinchillas when my last rat has died, they live 16 years too.

I had a pet rat before I moved in with my hubby. He was a lovely, friendly little thing. I had to give him to a friend when I moved in with my husband because he had cats.

They make better pets in my opinion than hamsters/gerbils.

Most of our friends/family have been won over by them. Only one won't come to ours now which is no loss.

I agree, I had a hamster years ago and he used to bite all the time. My rat was much more sociable and never bit me.
