That dreaded time of year is soon approaching , and for many this season can be hell .

has anybody got any good remedies or is it possible to build up anything in your system before hand that might keep it at bay.

I find when I use the antihestimein tablets they only last for two days then don't work , the better ones make me drowsy .

My brother hits it from every angle .... injection from Dr as tablets don't touch him ... wrap around glasses, local honey, nasal spray, eye drops and a vasaline type ointment his put just inside of his nose to capture the pollen ... plus regular showers and wipes in the car to make sure no pollen on his face n hands.

He has to work hard at keeping it as bay because he is a postie.

Cetirizine works better on me than Loratadine but does make me sleepy. Take them pretty much every day from April to July. I also use the nose spray, eye drops, the nose balm stuff and wear sunglasses a lot...it's a bit of a battle in the early summer

It's a lot but once your doing everyday it becomes routine ... 5 min in morning along with suncream and then top ups during day in car. Far better for him than feeling like rubbish all spring n summer.

Good luck ... different things work for different people

Steroid nasal spray for me, means I barely even need to wipe my nose.

I feel your brother's pain. From February till October I do all of this. Tree pollen is my kryptonite. A nasal spray, well a barrier spray, has saved my life. I also wear a Hay Band. Like a band for Sea Sickness worn in the inside of the elbow. I have two. Lol. Miss C. Xx

I suffered horrendously with hay fever every year until I started having acupuncture. I had it first when I was pregnant and unable to take my medication and had it every year since. 2-3 sessions every year at the beginning of the season and no more hay fever x

Try haymax think that's what it's called... Put just inside your nasal passages and it stops the pollen from affecting you. Well enough that standard remedies work.... No steroids made my nose bleed

Although to be honest as I've got older it isn't too bad. Maybe my coping skills are better. But I am never without a pair of sunglasses during the Hay Fever Hell. Miss C. Xx

I used to get in a right state with it, since I've been on the steroids I've had almost no symptoms at all.
