In all my life I don't think I've owned a toaster that will give you a slice of toast that doesn't need flipping round halfway through the process. Surely in this day and age it can't be too difficult to make a perfect slice of toast in one procedure. Cheap or expensive, they're all the bloody same

What object do you own or have to use, electrical or otherwise, that is not fit for purpose

I,ve got a toaster I got from asda, I,ve

Marked the setting dial up with marker So no problems there now as the proper Markings had worn away, but what I don,t Understand is is why they have settings That will turn any slice of bread to Carbon by just useing that setting, no Point haveing a setting like that because no bread slice would survive it

I,ve never understood that..

I've always been baffled why toasters don't fit bread properly I mean the primary reason they were created was to toast bread you'd think they would

A shaver. Not as good as a wet shave. Mind you it could be worse, a friend of mine once took a very expensive shaver up to Catterick only to be told it was too loud and there was no way he was taking that out with him.

Um...

An air popcorn popper thingy that is great but pings popcorn absolutely everywhere.

An electric steamer that's such a faff to clean that I never use it.

A smoothie maker that's also too much of a faff to clean to actually use.

I don't actually use much of the stuff in my kitchen, mostly because I don't cook.

Microwave, plates, cutlery, fridge, mixing bowls, mugs, glasses. That's about all I use.

"we had a juicer that was a pain in the arse to clean - those orangy bits got everywhere - "

I'd love a juicer but I'm fairly sure it wouldn't get used for the same reason.

I'd quite like a spiraliser too but the chances are it would also sit in a cupboard unused.

It doesn't have to be toaster related.

Maybe in hindsight I should have named the thread "Any Shit You've Bought That Don't Work Properly Like It Was Designed To Do", but that would have taken too long to type

I have had 3 very expensive steam generator irons. I went for the best according to Which magazine. All broke after just over a year. I've now gone for a cheap model and it works perfectly. The most expensive or best brand name doesn't guarantee anything.

Impossible to clean after you've melted cheese in a toasty.
