OK. ...I've just taken the plunge and uploaded a picture of my legs. If I have a body part I really dislike it's my legs so I tend to put up clever pictures of them. ...I must say I feel really liberated and that I'm no longer living a lie!! Is there a part of your body that you would never display on here? What's stopping you showing all? Is it really that bad?? Anybody else feeling brave?...I guess I'm just seeing myself in a new light....and yes, a shameless look at me thread

Personally I don't see anything wrong with your legs.

I do believe that we see ourselves differently to how others see us though and if we dislike a certain part of our body then it can literally take on a persona of its own and become the enemy

I don't think I'm alone in saying that every part you've chosen to show us is beautiful

for me its my belly. Put on a bit of weight this last year and struggling to lose it. I still take pics but try to find flattering poses.

My feet ..other than that, I'm (quite) a few gym hours away from being happy with my body.

I've had one of those, i tend to concentrate on the iris colour so they don't bother me, but yeah they are creepy and i use it when i want less messages.

Personally, I can't stand my thunder thighs, flabby tummy, dimply arse or saggy boobs but recently thought 'fuck it, if anyone's interested enough to want to see them in person they may as well see it in advance' and put some nude shots up where I'm not being covered by a strategically placed arm, hand or hair.

Your pictures are great Scarlet. As said before in some posts we are very critical of ourselves. The one in the dress shows your figure and legs to perfection. I have just got my tummy out again, for me it's what I don't like. 3 pregnancies but have to love my tiger stripes.

Oh don't get me started on the rest of it i can accept the way I am. ...It's just my legs i have particular issue over. ...i think it stems back to when i was about 11....i was a normal child. ..not overweight or anything but i can remember once a family member describing my legs as tree trunks. ....There was another occasion walking home from a nightclub at 18 and i can remember 2 guys walking behind me and my friend....and they were quite loudly discussing which one they fancied. ...they referred to me as the one with man calves. ...that sort of thing really dents your confidence when it happens fairly often. There have been other instances but those are the 2 that had the biggest impact. ..

cant some things be said when you are young that stick with you forever - even when they were probably said innocently - i wasnt a fat kid but i was tall and bonny - well built and never skinny - i was on tablets for an illness and also took iron pills - one of the mums said to me once you are bound to be on the heavy side because of all the iron you take - now i know thats silly but never forgot it and upset me a lot at the time

My right breast since the Lumpectomy.. I hate it.. I have on occasion put up a semi covered picture but not full breast or leaning forward. It is incredibly ugly and makes me sad.

I try to think i'm lucky to still have a breast and to be well but it isnt easy and I do think it would affect a meet.

it isnt the scar but the very ugly dent which leaves me quite misshapen. My breasts were the best bit of my body before that. The scar is barely noticeable. thank you tho
