I was at the business end for the first one.. a footling.. complicated birth. Very worried and terrified for my ex and my son... the next two were straight forward and I was delighted to welcome them into the world

Yes. It was simultaneously the most moving, wonderful experience of my life as I was filled with a kind of awe I suppose and an immediate feeling of a deep connection and love; as well as scary hell because he was so premature and needed help breathing and my wife had lost so much blood because of birth complications. I felt helpless and just wept

Emergency caesarian section twins after seeing them quickly removed all hell broke loose as eclampsia set in . I have seen more of my partner than most would wish . She is still here to tell the tale . My story is one of pride that I didn't faint during the proceedings

I've had three sections my ex came in with me for all three, he kept getting a bollocking with the last one cause he kept going down the bottom end to watch, apparently if you have a section your not allowed to watch your child actually coming out

I was there for all of them. I delivered my third she came out like a catapult, labour less than the ambulance took to get there, I was wondered how to get her to cry and how hard to slap her bottom, luckily, she cried without any help from me. The irony was I seemed to know what to do, I didn't panic, she popped out, funny thing is she was always a daddies girl.

How did I feel like I do whenever I see them now, I speak to my children at least twice a week, but when I see them, I cry I never do otherwise, I feel so embarrassed now, my daughters cry too, but my son taunts me, he'll understand on day.

Not my son's but I was for my daughter's birth. I've no idea how to describe the feeling going throw me as she was born. She popped out conpleatly gray and for a few very long slow motion seconds I really did think she was dead but then what i can only describe as this pink wave flushed over her as she gulped her 1st breath and scream out her 1st cry. The joy love and pure emotions I felt where finnominal and as much as I'd love to I could never put that into words. Shes 13 in 2 wks and that love never has and never will leave me.....oh by the way I've never in my life counted 10 fingers and 10 toes so fast in my life

as with my daughters birth we found out early so bought in for the birth

a bit complicated as childs back bone was on mrs backbone at birth it was either c section but was refused as too far i believe

she had to give birth on all 4s

I got in trouble from her as I wanted to see the birth of first child her second child so whilst holding her hand i was going to have a look then got dragged back up top again

she also bent the bed frame whilst giving birth

after birth i cried as was so happy for all 3 of us

and then informed all family that we had a daughter at ... time

she wanted out i said no shes staying in hospital overnight to get her rest so picked son up and went home to bed for the night then son and i went to collect his mum and his sister from hospital the day after after discharge

then a year later became the career of both children

My ex was there. Elective section, which he said I didnt need (hundreds of women have had kids, it can't be that painful). Kind of set the tone for gargantuan knob ish behaviour. He bogied ogf when she was tiny, hasn't seen or asked after her in 8 months, including when I was rushed into hospital and he was informed. And ive got to go to court soon to try and stop him getting full custody.

Scared.

My wife had an emergency section after being diagnosed with pre-eclampsia. The docs lost track of the baby's heartbeat. She was being cut open before she was fully flat on her back. No was born effectively dead and needed resuscitating. And several weeks on neo natal. Because no room in the hospital he was born in, in neo, he was transferred to a different hospital to my wife

Wife went from bad to worse, and 3 days later I was told she wouldn't make it through the night. Her blood pressure was off the charts, literally. She made it through that night. Next night she was found unconscious fallen off her hospital bed. Needed resuscitating.

Fortunately, everybody ok now. God bless the NHS, they were absolutely fantastic
