50 is the new 25?

People say thay have the time of there lifes in there 20s and no worries .....But a new survey people 18-75 shown that fiffies enjoy more night out alot more travel in your 50s focus on enjoying life to the full compared to the 20s . When in the 20s you work alot more worrie alot more , Maybe priorities change over years and its time to play and catch-up. But i do think people now in 40/50/60 have a younger out look on life then thay did years ago. What yo think? jo xx

Hi new to this. i agree my hubby and i being in our 50s we have a lot more fun together.we worked and worried hard in our 20s and 30s. life is great 50+

Looks like I'm doing arse about face then. Had a great youth, holidays abroad, nice cars etc etc... now i'm 45 with a young baby son and who knows how many more. I'll look forward to my 70s if I get that far lol

lolol well i new there would be some that would be diffrent ,,, and 45 is lovely age to have babys i have family very young was 18 now would love more but its just getting john to say yes ,, lol

Have to say socially my 50's have been exceptional - work wise has been a bit up and down though as there is still a prejudice against older folks - seems lots of younger managers are scared us oldies know more than they do!

I was married at 20 and had my first child at 22 and studying for a degree so my twenties and thirties were filled with being a wife, mum and helping to bring home the bacon. Holidays were geared around the kids, so sober trips to Florida etc.

My children are now adults and I was 42 when I had my first "proper" holiday to Kos with girlfriends. Hair down, boozed up...oh we had a blast. When I left my husband I travelled a lot with a boyfriend - all over the globe having the absolute time of my life.

I was 50 last week, children all but left home, meet sexy playmates about three times a month and spend the rest of my time working, eating and sleeping!!

I'd better pull myself together and start enjoying myself more ...but it seems so much like hard work at times!!!

wow, in my twenties i moved abroad, had some great times, never worried about anything...in my thirties i had children, never worried about anything.

my mom gave me the best advice "whatever you do or don't do, they can't hang you for it".

i'm told that even in adversity i walk around with a smile on my face and a look like i don't have a care in the world

the health of those i love is my only concern in life and i intend to retain that spirit as long as possible

It seems I only have to look at a wife and she gets pregnant. Siren is my second wife and when we decided to have our son she was pregnant a month later, and that's exactly the same as when my first wife got pregnant 13 years ago.

Best not play with other men's wives huh lol

I am mid 40s and am enjoying myself, now that I am free, single and in good health.

I do not have too many worries, thanks to my parents giving me a good education that enables me to have a career and good jobs.

I care about the health of those closest to me, and from time to time I worry about them not being 100% happy/content with their lives. However, by and large they are all fine.

I am content with what I have, and consider myself very lucky when compared with those who are much less fortunate.

I have learned that when it comes to jobs, the grass is not always greener. It is more like "same poo but different smell"!

It is far more important to have time to spend with loved ones than to pursue the power and the glory.

Lastly, I shall remember to tell those who are closest to me how much they mean to me as often as I can, as I cannot tell what the future may bring!

Happy and content, that's me!

Attagirl! That's pretty much how I view life too. If I can't change something I don't worry about it.

I love this following saying as it's so true to how I think about things:

~ Life isn't about arriving at your destination in a perfectly preserved body, but more of a sliding in sideways, scraping your knees in a shower of gravel, proclaiming loudly, "Fuck me! What a rush!"

We're enjoying life at the moment. Kids are grown up, still around though, lol.

I used to worry, mainly about work and was close to a breakdown in early 90's until I had a heart to heart with my GP, a young Indian guy, who told me how to adopt the "fuck'ems" and since them I'm the most chilled guy on the planet

We started swinging a couple of years ago and now we're having a great time.

Long live us old fuckers

Ooo, and having pets really helps to combat stress!

After a hard day at work, it pleases me to have a cuddle with the dog on one side and the cat purrring on the other.

And their love and loyalty are unconditional, and they don't argue or answer back!

You're right there Pearl. If I have a bad day, I sit with my dog and tell him all about it, he just looks at me, licks my face, wags his tail, I smile and it's all sorted

I have a great life at the moment. I have very few worries and the feeling of freedom to enjoy myself.... but no fecking way is it better now than in my 20's... I had a shit load more energy then and a weekend without sleep, cramming in as much fun as possible, didn't fuck me up for the rest of the week. I'd often get home an hour before I needed to go to work, travel at the drop of a hat, try anything and everything I felt like trying and had friends with the same freedom.

crikey really? I slept most of the weekend in my 20's and partied hard all night...now if I party hard all night, i'll get in at 5 and up at 7 with the children and not feel any worse for it...could never do that before.

just had a 4 day weekend away with a friend and we were out from 10 in the morning until 3-5 in the morning, she came back and slept for 3 days, i came back and cracked on with it.

i guess the kids keep me kicking!?

im 55 having the time of my life ...i have my health , lots of people in my life including a fab family and ive got loads of energy ....im still working too hard but there is only me to pay the bills so i have to...i have to say a much better life for me began when i was 50 and my ex ran off with my friend ..was a bit crushed for a while but then i realised i could do whatever I wanted with the rest of my life ....i was able to follow my dream to live by the sea .... so im one happy bunny

Im so much more confident now than when I was in my 20s. No way would I get into some of the positions I do now, because I would worry about how it would look, now I dont care as long as its good.

I can honestly say I have never really thought about my age - it is something that just happens and it is not something that would really stop me from enjoying myself or doing what I want to do. It helps that I do not worry about things - what will be will be...? xx
