Thought I was verified as a user by uploading a picture of me with my username written on paper next to face. It seems not, how can I change this?

You either need to meet someone who has been verified (look for the green tick) or go on cam in one of the chatrooms and ask if someone will verify you.

Organised socials are great places for veris, look in meet requests and parties or swingers club events.

If you can't get verified on cam then chat to your meet (I'm assuming you tried to verify a meet and discovered that you can't). If your meet was female she will find it easier to get cam verified. Noone has to get naked or do anything sexual, just appear on cam and greet the other parties to show it's live.
