I've done the norm , like marmite , cheese , marmite and cheese , jam , peanut butter , white choc spread .

Love crumpets , but it's just getting a bit...... Urh ...... Now .

Maybe thinking a cheese with tomato and chilli chutney ????

Can't believe no one's mentioned beans and cheese yet! You only need about half a can of beans otherwise it drowns the crumpets. Great snack.

Melted mature cheddar or crumbly lancashire cheese is my preferred topping.

Whisk up an egg, and dip the crumpet in the egg, and shallow fry. In the meantime cook some bacon and grate some cheese.

Once the crumpet is done, stick some cheese on top and grill for 2 minutes. Then chop up a fresh green chilli (or leave out if you dislike the spice) and put on top, and put bacon on top, and voila.

You can thank me later.
