Does any one else get pissed off with friend requests from people that have never had the decency to even send a simple message?

Oh yes!!!!

A really hot guy done it last week!

As much as I wanted to accept I didn't out of principle.

Instant block. Says so on my profile. Really is a pet hate of mine. They are only pic collectors. You can always wait till they are off line, accept, look at their pics if interested then block. But to me they are just rude people I'd never want to meet so I just hit that good old block button.

Yes! I think some of them think of it like the hotlist function or have limited social sensibilities, not grasping that it works against them.

Happens a lot, though less than in the past.

Whoever they are we delete the request on the grounds they must be picture collectors. We don't always block but sometime do.

Not really. It's hardly an intrusion in your life and you have to do nothing more than ignore it.

I just really find it pisses us off its says friend! If you have never spoke then why would you want them as a friend. Just bloody lazy it doesn't take much to send a message and just say hello

Exactly this. I get around 10 a day, probably because I have a few friend only pics. I just bulk delete every so often, not really an issue.

I think that some people genuinely think it's just a way to ask if they can be your friend. Not done in a malicious way.

Chill.

I thinks it's both rude and presumptious.

I always ask if I can add a person. And only after chatting for a bit

Though I think most people do it to get a glimpse of friends only pics...

Personally of something as silly as someone chancing their arm pissed me off that much I'd have to question whether or not this is for me. Life is way too short to get pissed off about someone you don't know clicking a button to try and be your 'friend'.

I don't think everyone on my friends list is an actual friend. If I like the look of who had requested me I'll add them and perv their photos, if i dont then I won't.

Why stress over something so trivial. Any requests from randomers just go to file B1N

Sorted

I just block them.

I hate it when I say on my status that my birthday party on the 4th April is friends only and I get messages off single blokes asking if they can be my friend, I tell them just because they "want" to get to know me doesn't mean they're gonna get an invite

We have a simple policy.

Nobody goes on our friends list til we've met.

Why do you need to add a stranger? The only changes that happen if you do are that they can see extra pics (that you could send via message anyway), that they appear in a different section of updates (hotlist them - does the same job!) and smiley face appears next to their messages!

This isn't facebook. There's no prize for the most 'fwends' !!

And if an uninvited request grinds your gears - ignore it! Deleting it allows another to be sent. Ignoring stops them trying again.

It's sooooooooo easy.

I posted it on the forums but I also made it clear that it was friends only.

The people who are coming use the chat rooms and I talk to them about it in there but also say that its friends only and still get messages off men asking if they come

Nope...it's obviously a sign of interest and to me show's they're too shy to message, find it quite flattering actually.

Don't know why people on here moan about it when you can quite easily delete them...

I often think the angst with stuff on here is similar to celebrities getting irritated from their adoring fans, the times they just want to chill and someone asks for a selfie or autograph/

The chore of having to deal with the constant 'being in the spotlight'

Me being a bloke, if a woman or couple sends me a friend invite and especially if they've got private pics I'll accept just because I'm a perv and want to check out their pics! If a bloke does then no chance, gets deleted straight away.

I'll have a glance at requests and if they look good and have friends only pics I might accept whilst they offline, perv, then delete... But rarely keep them as friends as they haven't made any other attempt at contact. The vast majority though I just leave as outstanding requests so they can't keep re-requesting. Can't say it's ever sparked any emotion though, unless they are fit and I decide to contact them after a perv!
