I'm not a woman, but I'm into cars, although probably not the kind that others on here are into, but I know a few ladies that are into them in their own right.

Once we've got the extension finished on the house, I'm gonna get a Subaru or a glanza

Mrs doesn't drive but enjoys coming along to the car shows

Current car is a mk9 civic which is built to bass not race

I used to always have the dilemma of track or audio.. so would have a car for each.

The audio build only started out with a sub I paid £30 for and had just snowballed into a build capable of 145db. Still need to upgrade the front end too but house is taking priority

I like cars and my knowledge is quite good. I also like to plug my speakers in to my laptop and go on YouTube to listen to the noise of start ups, revs and downshifts of supercars, I pretend I'm driving them, that's quite sad!

My ex's father has a beautiful lancia delta that gets driven only a couple of times a year!

I've owned some nice cars before I became a mother and skint!

Started with a fiat punto, then had the convertible Tigra when it first came out, then jumped to a VW gold R32 then had a Honda S2000 then had a nissan 350Z, then I became pregnant and moved out and couldn't afford to keep the nissan. Bought an 07 plate Suzuki swift in 2009 and had it ever since! 6 years on and every person that pulls out on me or drives up my arse I still say to myself, if I had my nissan you wouldn't do that, of all the cars I had I loved that car, had a meisterschaft exhaust system that sounded lovely!

One day I'll have a nice car again, until then I look at them on YouTube!

I can often be found hugging it - draped across the bonnet and holding on to it for all I'm worth....

So s an extension to the topic. Does a car change your perception of the attractiveness of the owner?

All though they sound good I wouldn't pay the price to run one, my 170hp metro beats your average 'fast' car no problem, and does 34mpg around town

I had many a metro with a surprise under the bonnet. Was great to upset typical "fast" cars with.

I keep thinking should I get another... But I think having owned more than 15 means I think I have a problem lol.

Even had a few metro turbos with surprises ... Including at the time the only metro turbo on 15inch custom wheels.

Martin from reylands and I were both building our metros at the same time and accidentally ended up with the same colour.

So is hours a rover surprise or like a friend of mine did just whack an evo lump and running gear in it lol ( mental totally )

Mine has a 4.3 V8 and I have to say the noise and rumble from the exhaust is the best. Especially if your in a tunnel.

I love cars!

My company car 'Pretty" has to go back at the end of April - I will be in mourning

Got to go car shopping on Thursday - and I've got to be SENSIBLE

This word does not suit me!

The roar of an engine is one of the sexiest sounds ever - the electric monstrosities are taking over, but I won't ever be THAT sensible!!

Yeah drove through some great tunnels in Spain heading to and from Morocco, open the window, drop a gearbox and floor it
