Why apps and or Skype?

I can barely keep up with my messages on fab and a couple of other sites without getting the same messages in duplicate on any app

As for Skype

Well I understand it has its benefits but it simply eats into my fucking time so no no no no no

What's your opinion?

I have Skype purely so my lad can speak to his dad in between his times to have him. No intention of using it for other things.
