I really hate it when other people force their religion down your throat..

Catholic priests are especially good at doing this..

*groans*

And I suppose fundamental Muslims blow it all out of proportion

The army are even better at it, forcing us to go to church parades, especially on the patron saint of the Corp day, they actually force you to sing in the hymns too.

I have no drama with people believing what they want to believe but dont tell me about it, I don't care at all!

You're right, the joke's on the priests, not the children, and shows them up for what they are.

Hello all,

surely a religion that demands that their officers remain celibate is a big factor. The desire for sex is such a strong force that it's irrational, to me, to suppress it.

It's no excuse but I believe a partial cause?

.

I think your probably right along with the entire way that sex is demonized with constant rules in most of the mainstream religions makes it a recipe for disaster.

I don't believe the requirement to be celibate ever made anyone a paedophile. The decision to break the vow of celibacy tests firmly with the person who in the full knowledge of what it entailed took it in the first place, the decision to break it with children also rests firmly with the paedophile.

Do you know any children who have been sexually abused? Because I do, and they have been totally traumatised. They hid it for years too, until they were young adults.

I dont beleive these so called priests are even religious or follow any of the rules, they are predators who saw the church as a good way to gain peoples trust and get access to children

When i was in the whole battalion would be paraded in our no 2 dress , and the few lads that didnt want to go and get churchified would then be put to ing all round the barracks for the rest of the day
