"he wont be able to carry a group of mates in the back which helps on insurance!" It will also reduce his number of friends by half too. Fiesta/Corse esque cars, maybe a Suzuki swift. Something with as small an engine as is practicable. Not only will insurance be less but running costs too. Petrol, road tax etc. | |||

"We had a corsa on a 53 plate and looked at insurance for our 17 yr old who recently passed his test - 4k!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Investigated further -and eventually got a Landy Discovery 2.5 turbo diesel engine, put him on my van insurance as a 2nd driver £800 with full no claims. "Jane drives a citrion c 1 20£ year to tax cheap ins, loads miles to the gallon." Quite right, quite right the C1 or Peugeot 107 are about the cheapest to insure as they have lots of plastic and easy change body parts. And low tax as well as a good resale value. | |||
