Morning all.

I successfully fell down some stairs yesterday and tore the meniscus in my knee so i'm now laid up at home with the craziest knee support on and needing to see an orthopeadic surgeon next week... So as you can imagine i'm in desperate need for some kind words lol.

Hope everyone else is having a better week than me so far lol x

"I successfully fell down some stairs yesterday"

Least you did something successfully!!

Suppose 'keep your pecker up' is a suitable phrase xxx

I nearly made a knee jerk reaction and made a joke in this thread.

But I realise it's cruciate that you kneed some tendon loving care. You will femur much better soon, it's tibia expected.

all previous attempts had lead to me catapulting in the air and doing a 760 degree back flip and landing on my feet. Finally i managed to fall lol

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Look on the bright side - you're getting longer life from all your shoes and socks.

Your previous attempt would have been successful if you'd increased the falling down water! Something to ponder should you want a cast on the other leg.

Not a good injury, if you have the opp of private care grab it as this sort of injury needs sorting sooner or later. On the positive side our fly half did the same and was back on his toes within 6 months.

Mr Wh1t3y had his meniscus sorted yesterday, keyhole surgery and he is fine, walking about on it (short distance) and only little pain. Will let you know when the bandage comes off about swelling etc.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

A friend`s son recently had something similar done. Apparently, there was only about 10% of his tendon still attatched but they made things worse by not diagnosing the problem correctly for six weeks then not having a surgeon available. He was off work for five months and has only just gone back to work yesterday doing light duties!
