Did it a few minutes ago! Was responding to a comment on another thread, had written a long piece of prose then thought 'sod it, it's really not worth it' so never pressed that 'send message' button. Do it all the time!

I type, delete, retype and then think buggar it, that doesn't sound right so give up.
