I believe the value of a compliment can be lessened on here due to people firing them out willy nilly.....if I were getting lots on here I'd be sceptical probably so I do try and be measured in my compliments and only give them if I mean them....

If folk are sceptical then that's just the way it is I guess

'Forum compliments' tend to be pretty easy to slot into a particular category.

1. Genuine compliments

It is possibly about the relationship you have with that person - I know when my OH payse me a compliment he really does mean it.

Because face to face we pick up 100% of human communication.... we lose 93% (like body language, facial expression, tone of voice etc) when it is done via text or email

I won't Compliment for the sake of it.

It's when I see something I generally like, get that urge feeling and 'have' to mention it. Could even be as little as liking their nose. (if it's cute)

I really do think, and this is not gender specific, most people generally know when a compliment is genuine and truthful rather than when it serves a purpose.

I am an absolute fucking sucker for good eyes on a woman.

That is the first thing I'll say.

I also like a bit of a bitch, but that's harder to compliment on.

"I like you because you're a bitch"

I need to be REALLY damn careful about how I say that...

But by that point most already know what I mean and I don't mean it badly.

But good eyes and a bit of Attitude and yeah..that's awesome.

If I think a lady is attractive, I'll tell her, if she is too sceptical to believe me, that's a shame, I know my intention is to show my appreciation. I can't abide hidden agendas, so I won't engage in them myself. If I say she's sexy, it's because I think she is, a compliment doesn't necessarily mean I want to shag her. Just take the compliment as though it's genuine, you never know, some of them may be

If I pay a compliment I mean it.. I try to be specific to.

Just saying "you look nice/beautiful/insertgenericadjectivehere" is lazy.

If I like a person's eyes or smile I'll say why. If it's an outfit or hair cut I try make sure the person knows I've paid attention

But on a site like this, with false intentions and people just trying their luck, a little caution is understandable.
