Louie Theroux last night...

I found this incredibly interesting, I think Louie is great and whilst he manages to ask pretty close to the mark questions he still retains a humility about him.

Very interesting programme !

I've worked in similar places over here. It's equally depressing. Both for the residents and the staff.

Yeh i can totally understand that, i found myself feeling very sad for both patients and staff

The older he gets the more I like him and he come across very cleaver and in tune with people .. I like him a lot on the TV really makes me think and ask the right things like last night. The old lady who was there made him think she was very normal .. But mad as a hatter really when they all had the chat together.

Yeh totally agree ! Thats what i like about him, and my god that old lady caught me out too !

It's probably worse for the staff in this country. Not only is it depressing and thankless task but they're paid pittance for their incredibly hard work and rarely are they backed by their superiors (management level upwards). It's also rife with abusers looking to exploit or bully people.

When you find the right place with the right team though, it's incredibly rewarding and satisfying.

Yeh guess having first hand experience you get a clear picture of that and its a real shame Big respect to you though and can imagine the rewards are amazing !

I enjoyed the docos he did a while back covering the American prisons. I like that we can send decent people like him overseas to represent us, unlike that bald-headed tit Ross Kemp who gets on my nerves
