Well just off to football in northampton as got a cup game there and travelling up from London as been working all night. What a joke the m1 is. It's Sunday morning and it's slow as hell. Feel sorry for all you midweek rush hour folk

I know that feeling all too well. I moved up north a couple of years ago and the traffic here is like a pleasant Sunday afternoon every day of the week. Absolute bliss.

I hate going back down south now because of the traffic but have to do it every other weekend to see my daughter. I time my runs so that I don't hit any major town at rush hour at any point along the journey.

I live right by the M1 and yes its a nightmare and will be for some time to come

When travelling back home on a Sunday, I would avoid the M1 as much as I could because of the blooming traffic!

Had the pleasure of the M1 last Sunday, driving my daughter from London to Derby. Parts of it had 50 mile limits, cones and single lane traffic!

That said, traffic was moving unlike London traffic. From the end of the M1 in north London to my home in south London: 2 hours!!
