is there something i can download onto my email account so that it will make a noise when i get an email delivered to my inbox..im on hotmail/live..windows 7 laptop

Are you accessing your email via the web browser or using the Windows Mail app?

If you are accessing your email account through a web browser, a sound notification is not currently available in Hotmail/Outlook.com.

However, if you are going to use an email client like Windows Live Mail, there is a feature there where in you can setup sound notification when new emails arrive.
