He can be my hero too if he manages to not get them elected to power again. I don't need any more reduction in my human rights, knee jerk laws, utterly unplanned occupations or my government torturing prisoners. I'm hoping it's Lib Dem vs Conservative at the next election and Labour become the minority.

not sure lib dems performance thus far would have won them many more admireres.

they just seem to prove the old adage, always the bridesmaid and never the bride and seem quite content with being led rather than leading. not what you want from a future government

If the Lib Dems and Conservatives did nothing but roll back Labours legislation they would *still* be a better government than Labour were. I'd just like to have habeas corpus back please. I'd like the government to concentrate on road safety instead of the soundbite issue of speeding. I'd like us to not invade two countries in half-hearted attempts to do some good and then boast about how we didn't have a plan to occupy them! I'd like us not to build another Millenium Dome. I'd like the PM to not confess to having concealed his religious convictions because he knew we wouldn't vote for him. I'd like them to not encourage dangerous lending habits in the US. I'd like them to not pass laws which criminalise criticising religion.

They can't screw up worse than labour.

I think you'll se a new LibDem Party emerging now Clegg is stamping his authority. He needs to slap down the old guard who seem to want to hang to outdated policies that they know full well are unelectable policies.

Blair nailed it with Labour when he realised that Clause IV of their consitution had to be abandoned or they'll never win one term, let alone three!

Clegg needs to do the same and bring the LibDems as the true party of Opposition for the foreseeable future.

Changes in the way we vote should prove interesting though. We will have to wait and see.

As for Ed Miliband, well, he seems a decent enough bloke but when they photograph him with his brother standing just behind and to the left, they look like the Krays!
