not being rude as in the wonderful sense of doing naughty things to each other but the other type. you see a couple who want to meet this evening so you send a message, they've seen face pics (maybe that did it). then there's nothing, diddly squat. low and behold short time later they put out yet another plea for a meet. is it just me, but a polite no thanks would have gone down well. anyway not as well as i would've gone down on him. still its their loss. x x

Maybe they just felt bad saying your not for them so decided not to say anything?

What we find annoying and bad manners is when we are sent a wink, then a friends request followed by message saying how much they like our profile etc.

We exchange a couple of messages and the obligatory face pics, we never hear from then again, not as though we`re ugly - lol.

Why can`t they just say they`re not interested, we do!

Getting a four way attraction is difficult at the best of times, and if you're not sure, it's best to decline. But we agree, in instances like this a "no thanks" should be the least you would expect to receive, after all it was not an unsolicited communinque

If you sent them a message with face pictures and they didnt get back but still have a meet up obviously they didnt like the look of you so its not really their loss as their not the ones coming on the boards complaining about it

Surely the best thing to do in such circumstances is to shrug your shoulders and move on.

A "no thanx" would have been nice......but so many ignorant people its best just to forget them an move on

not complaining as such, the whole point is a bit of politeness, doesnt cost anything. just cos we are on these sites looking for " fun " doesnt mean our manners are any the less than the next persons.

After the initial bit banter, liking profiles etc etc and a few messages later comes the crucial face pic swop ( if not already on profile) You may be thinking no reponse is being rude and a simple no thanks would be expected or appreciated...What you's dont realise is the stomach mess your pic has just caused, violently decorating your key pad or phone. The time spent cleaning the alergic reaction youve just had to someones face pic is unwelcomed and you should be named and shamed as a time waster. So.....No way on earth would you want to take a second glimpse to send a simple no thanks. Lol....so now yous know so dont get annoyed.

We always send face pics after first email so they know what we look like more or less straight away.

We dont get offended if we dont hear back as we know we are not for everyone X

You describe yourselves as a 'laid back' couple. Getting upset about such matters dosn't come across as laid back.

If you put a request to meet today on the forums, I agree with the OP that it's good manners to respond to the people who write to you.

You are openly inviting approaches, and as such, I believe you should be committed to reply to each and everyone.

On the otherhand, I don't apply the same logic to unsolicited mail.

..... ^ What you said. Seems some ppl have better things to do with there lives than to spend just a min or two to reply saying thanks but no thanks manners cost nothing
