Do you enjoy sex differently as you age??

I know its a daft question but Im wondering out loud.

For years I loved rough foreplay and a good hard fucking, none of the gentle lovemaking for me not even with my husband.

However of late I have found I am very sensitive afterwards. To the point I cant have anything (not even pants) touch me after a good session.

Sometimes it takes days and not hours to get the oversensitivity to die down, during which time I cant stand my hubby anywhere near me.

I'm not sure if this is down to changes in my likes and dislikes as I age or if its down to changes in my body due to medication??

Am I abnormal?? Ohh wait yes

Has anyone else ever had this and if so does it change back to how it used to be, or will I have to get used to softer more gentle sex??

I think with age comes confidence and less tolerance for bullshit -- when you're older you know what you want and aren't so afraid to ask for it xx

Yes i think i have changed, i want to explore more learn more, see what makes me tick, whereas when i was younger, things were different. Am less embarrassed about sex and my sexuality, and my body too, ive learnt that sucking a man IS an enjoyable experience, ive learnt that i enjoy the power over a man, getting turned on by them enjoying themselves.

As to being dry and sore, nope, going through the change as i am, am much hornier than before and more often, so am often dripping wet and not much i can do about it.

I personally think life can often get in the way of enjoying sex, at the moment, i am trying to make up for lost timeand i gush like niagara falls now, not something ive ever done before, just waiting for the elusive orgasm, if it happens, great, if not, well ive tried

The only time ive been sore afterwards has been when ive not been turned on because sex has not been all that

Ooo, and I have accepted that it is possible to have recreational sex without emotional dependency at my old age!

That is not to say I'll play with anything that has a pulse though!

I know i'm still young so I'll probably be scolded by some but my outlook at sex has changed, I'm definately less inhibited but at the same time my libido has waned 3 years ago I was sneaking to the loo at work for a rub if some fit bloke smiled at me, i'd have another in the shower at home and 1 before bed, I never do now

Always enjoyed sex but it has definitely got better with age and growing confidence - I learnt loads over the past 4 years through my partner and ultimately he was instrumental in turning me from a confident woman into a very adventurous and more confident one.

Thank you all for your thoughts.

I understand what each and everyone of you mean when you say you are enjoying sex more now that say when you were younger - for me sex in my teenage years was all about holding me stomach in and looking perfect, as a result I find everything to do with sex more enjoyable now

When I married I was told (not in a joke way either) "well there goes your sex life" when I looked bewildered I was told it over and over again by friends and female family members. They were all wrong our sex life got better and better as we got to know each others bodies better and better, then we started swinging, and still havent looked back
