Good Evening Fabbers

I hope you all had a rather jolly day in the sun. It was gorgeous out in the late afternoon sun with the pooch.

We visited our favourite spot, lay back in the grass and watched as the world made it self busy below us.

A buzzard hovered above us gliding on the thermals cast up from the heated rocks of our hill top haven.. Birds sang and made for a perfecto evening.

This got us to talking ,

Where is your favourite place and do you have your own secret hideaway , a special place that you like to go to.

Ours is a Hill near Llandudno , with stunning views of the Conwy valley and the Snowdonia national park.

so tonight's topic

where is your special place , lol I can already imagine some of the posts lol.

My current favourite is a nearby beach I take the fluffy woofer to - usually at weekends but having just had a week off we went every day.

There's plenty of other friendly dogs and their owners, a little coffee shop where I get a brew and she gets a dog biscuit - and it's very relaxing walking for a few miles even if the weathers a bit glum.

We have some very interesting conversations. And she's an attention whore who loves getting told how pretty she is by everyone we meet.

i would love to be able to do that at home - enough outside my space to wander nude and unseen (very handy ) - we do have certain tree in a park close to home - saying no more

when i was young in my teens i used to cycle a few miles to a certain park - there was a huge fat old oak tree - sat and leant against it for hours - or lay underneath looking up through the leaves - so restful

near Glasgow

Rothiemurchus, Glenmore, Glen Feshie, all near Aviemore. Sadly, haven't been for a few years!

However, recently been enjoying a lovely wee spot in Aberdeenshire. An added bonus has been the lovely company too!

There may not be sea views, but within 10 miles of you there are some gorgeous places, one in particular with incredible views

While at uni my department had its building right on the cliffs. I would love to just go an walk out behind there and be the first thing that the wind and rain hit after nothing but North Sea for hundreds of miles.

Now in Newcastle I have a couple of quiet little lunchtime walks, quiet paths between the city centre and the river where nobody goes.

A smaller knoll just off the main track over the beacon on Malvern Hills.

My fab friend and I take her dog walking up there....just lie back, look at the sky and chat bubbles!

There's a beach in South Wales, a beautiful spot where a very special woman and I once walked and planned our future. Even though that future never happened, the place has remained a beautiful getaway for me, even when I can't get there, the memories are strong enough that I can go there in my mind's eye.

Tynemouth. There's a light house. I go at night when you can see the stars and sometimes boats out at sea. It makes me feel very peaceful. I could be there for hours. Simple pleasures.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

There is a special tree at Formby that is magical for us.....if we sit in it or under it we feel like we are transported to a magical world where the real world can't touch us - so quiet and peaceful... It's just lovely

A special place in Portugal, near Lisbon, is my place, having spent a lot of time there.

In the UK, I have some secluded areas in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire that I go to - either woods or wide open moors and hills.

our house is built into the hillside, has some awesome views and loads of land to go walking with the dog on.

Spent a bit of time sat on the hillside while the dog ran about last week .....Shame something has had a right good munch on my leg while doing so
