Out of the fridge. I read somewhere it was bad to keep them in the fridge but I can't think why.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I keep them in the fridge but I know it's not necessary. They aren't from the fridge section of the shop.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Apparently the racks in the fridge door are the worst place to store eggs. The constant shaking thins the whites and the flavours of other foods can penetrate the shell. Also cold eggs are crap for baking.

Better still, for your physical health at least, if you superglue them in. No cheating by scragging at the foil.

Washing machine.

Reafy scrambled after a hot wash.

Hard boiled and easy to peel and slice for salads after a rinse cycle.

Birmingham

I cook (eat at least two eggs a day) and bake a lot and find that refrigerated eggs don't taste/ bake as well.

I keep mine in my retro chicken shaped pot thing that belonged to my mother.

As all of our laying chickens are vaccinated against salmonella, there is no real need to store in the fridge like our American friends who's chickens are not vaccinated.
