Kepler-186f fresh start anyone?

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

NASA found a new planet... called it Kepler-186f

They say is same size as our earth..the first Earth-size planet orbiting a star in the "habitable zone".

The NASA artists impression is that of a picture very much like the earth.

My question is..if was a new earth.....

Would you go?

And if so what skills you have to help build our new life on another planet?

"This is spartaaaaaaa..."

Would have to look at your genes. They might not be pure enough for a breeder job

Besides can this planet not be a peaceful one

I wouldn't go.

In the year since it was discovered (April 17th 2014) there's been no change in the opinion by NASA that whilst it's a similar size to the Earth it's actually unlikely to be habitable.

I wouldn't travel 500 light years to have to turn around and come back. I'll stick with here.

Might be wet, grey and miserable a lot of the time but it's home.

I suggest we send some kind of an 'ark' filled with all the useless parts of society - Telephone Sanitisers, Management Consultants and Marketing executives etc. Tell them that there are really 3 arks, and that there's some kind of enormous mutant star goat coming or something just to get them to go.

Can we add chuggers, ambulance chasing claims company telesales reps, PPI claims reps and daily mail journalists please?

Pretty please!!

Sounds to like hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. wouldn't go for it. But I see your line of thinking. Sadly this planet is fooked. We have fooked it. It can repair itself but without us. I'd happily go try somewhere else. Have had my towel at ready for any jump a long time now but just sadly is only fiction. you think about those nutters with money who gonna go try make it on Mars...why they going but will never be able to make it back. I'd go if I could. Why let idiots go fuck another planet. Leave the idiots here and the people for fresh start.....arks at the ready. The sad truth is I wouldn't have a boarding pass

We traveling @ light speed. Would imagine perhaps using mechanical engineering... vibrating plate constant acceleration and will enable the ark to travel at speeds only limited by the ark structure with unlimited distances. Making interstellar space flight possible. This is proven science from 50 years ago. Like say don't have no boarding pass. Any black market passes on the go?

Tech we not allowed to use. Its lot deeper than just....that. is many things not allowed to be used and tech suppressed.

Anyone who speaks out had always been called a crack pot or ridiculed or sad but true vanished.

If things had not been suppressed we would live in a different world today. No one should ever have had to buy electricity, no one would need petrol, people would buy one battery and it would be better than they are and would last forever. I could go on all day about suppressed tech

The closest I've seen someone come to trying to go public with tech that's even older than that,in fact, you maybe think crack pot, but was from the 1st time round, this being the second. He worked on something he discovered through the use of DMT if you can get your head round the doors that opens in mind. Anyway the science all works but its not for the good of the people. Guy went public or tried too in late 90s. I know this because had pleasure of meeting him an an inventors seminar, his brother lives in mountains and I have seen some very strange things throw physics out the window. What taught at skill, uni etc.the laws always been taught. Rubbish

It's not our planet, I would hope that by the time we have the technology to visit it we will have developed past our tendency of trying to conquer or take things over.

Look after our planet and we won't need to consider building a life on another one, we could just visit as friends.

Monsanto - evil

Fluorinated water - just don't touch tap water apart

from washing.

The illuminati - brought about to fight the Catholics

Who at time controlled the people,

The wealth etc. Perhaps once for

the good of the people, but what

have become is not something for

good of the people or not the

ordinary people

Chems - no need. Bang out of order. Weather

manipulation. Its not theirs to play with

9 - enough said. Was is and always will be a sad

a sad matter however you look at it.

Was obviously forced as child to have those despite even at that age not wanting.. parents choice. However since then no. Not for me and advise against. The people get told too but the people in general doing the telling are not doing it themselves and any indication of such is dream world. These are opinions of my own. Its strange how often fiction through technology advances becomes reality. Im not saying anything about time travel......do think its possible and are some great minds who would agree. But people call other people names and slate them as crack pots with ideas of time travel. They not so far off. Wish I had the vision and knowledge to be able too be involved in some of the existing projects going on....if I could go back. Monsanto is evil, correct

Fluorinated water you don't need for washing clothes, yeah I think it would be wise to use it as little as possible. So correct

The illuminati.. Errr mmmm well it was along time ago, they were in fear of their lives from religious nutjobs(not much changes hey) they probably gave it up awhile back though so thats a no I'm afraid.

Weather manipulation is old technology, are they still at it... Probably I think some time in the near future they might think we may well need it!!.. So that's another correct.

DMT tardis,s... Errr I'll get back to you on that one

Always love discussions with conspiracy theorists about crazy things other assorted tin-foil-hattery Always love how their formal education seems to have stopped around the time they started experimenting with , and how they are utterly sceptical of formal science accusing it of all kinds of coverups, but utterly believing of the most batshit crazy nonsense without the slightest hint of question.

Right, off to photoshop up some more moon landing pics, delete some people's internet presence who are trying to highlight chemtrails, and shut down that site who are exposing the use of the metal strips in banknotes to track your every move. Watch the skies!

Who said anything about conspiracy?

You seem like a typical blinkers on. Blinded by what taught at sckool and then perhaps uni.

Anyone who questions what been told you no doubt refer to tin hat and all that.

Here's a simple example for even someone as blinkered as you

Not sure how many of you have heard of the Bedini motor/generator, but it's a rather interesting piece of physics that takes the 2nd law of thermal dynamics and throws it out the window. Given that it takes a bit of explaining how this works. You can look yourself I'm sure if your that interested.

Is heeps of other examples, this just being a quick one to bring up.

If something was said to be and always taught so etc even if was disproved, it still would be taught and anyone saying otherwise...well tin foil hat called a crack pot, visited, vanish. Anyone who talks like this is blind

The list of so called hidden machines goes like cars that run on water or perpetual motors. This stuff is beyond known physics.

Then there's physics that's hard to do like hydrogen fuel cell cars which we can do..

But hydrogen is very hard to come by cheaply ie you put as much energy into getting hydrogen as you get out of it! So we're going to have to get going on are known capabilities to make it use able.

Again fusion technology is there but our limits of engineering need to be bumped up to make it realistic.

Super conductors are again known physics but hindered by engineering limitations!.

I'm afraid to say there's no easy way to solve difficult stuff if there was it would have been solved

I bet that's been built in secret by someone too hasn't it.

No I'm sorry hydrogen is cheap and easy..just all patents for process are military.

Its very very easy. Long to explain... but quick....piss is badicly hydrogen and nitrogen and water and contaminants. If you tank this and run a small voltage through it. It releases all the hydrogen. Now they would say this is unstable. Slightly however can add something else to stablize it and this I can assure you will run a generator. I know because I have done it and seen it done. It.will and has run military vehicles. Piss in gas tank on.battle field.. so sorry to disappoint you but its easy to make out of piss

Mans being better than womans it would appear. However maybe just because easier to collect a mans but pee poured neat is great on big plants and bushes not been fed in while, otherwise needs to be watered down as too strong. Bumper organic veg fed on pee alone. Can't beat it for growth

Man's pee and women's pee differs greatly as a fertiliser, women's is a killer for most plants due to the higher female hormones (my personal findings) but don't piss on anything directly, you'll kill it stone dead from the heat!.

Hydrogen is abundant but 99.9% of it is bonded to another element ie hydro-carbons.

Releasing the hydrogen from the other element takes energy.

Hydrogen/nitrogen= ammonia

Hydrogen/carbon= methane

Hydrogen/oxygen= water

Have heard of quite a few perpetual motion machines (or any number of greater than unity energy devices) over the years.

There's a large and interesting industry around them, getting investment from people with just enough education to know what a magnet is, and hoodwinked into believing it, then the money goes in, and endless 'prototypes' and 'still in testing' later, the inventor 'disappears' and there are rumours abound that the 'man' (or big oil, or illuminati) have had them taken out.

The reality is that they're all just a wonderful sham, but they do take people in so often! It seems we humans are hardwired to believe what sounds fantastic.

It's funny how the first google suggestion for 'Bedini motor' also adds the word 'debunked' and takes you to a number of links and videos. But of course, the discrediting by hundreds of so called 'scientists' and 'experimentalists' are just more proof that the effect is real.

We do find this very entertaining! One of the better recent ones well worth reading about was the Steorn Orbo, which managed to successfully extract plenty of money from people, under the suggestion that 'nobody really knows how magnets work', other than God and (presumably) Tesla and his trusted pigeon.

I would genuinely be delighted to be proved wrong about my (actually rather open-minded) education and be presented with a greater than unity device that hasn't already been debunked.

In the meantime, back to my poker game with Lord Lucan, Jimmy Hoffa, and Elvis.

Being taken in for something that offers easy rewards!.

The oldest con in the book, the old wife's tale of you can't con an honest man, well that's probably quite true.

Humans are hard wired to look for the easy answer, it helps the promoting of genes... Less work means more time mating .

It's not just people on the internet getting taken in on wildly fanciful ideas though, billionaires got taken in by Bernard Madoff (a very apt name) and his wildly crazy returns (easy money).

And Joe public get taken in daily by smoozing politicians, we all have an ability to hear what we like and discount everything else.

I would genuinely be delighted to be proved wrong about my (actually rather open-minded) education and be presented with a greater than unity device that hasn't already been debunked.

In the meantime, back to my poker game with Lord Lucan, Jimmy Hoffa, and Elvis.

it just had to be that you would refer to Google. It only searches about 0.004% of the internet. The hard hiters and the what want you to read. You aorta search the real internet. You seem quite intelligent however still with blinkers on. Sorry but there are things invented and patents that have been shelved by govs and stopped being used. Why? When they work. Simple its about money and power over us.

Will never be able to convince you other than you believing what you been and get told in popular press to be fact. Even the likes of new scientist is not showing the truth in many cases. I'm a reader of it regular but lot of the stuff is just the same repeated shite everyone talks.

I have enjoyed reading your replies and gaining a bit of knowledge as to what must be like liking in the dark believing what told

"Being taken in for something that offers easy rewards!.

And Joe public get taken in daily by smoozing politicians, we all have an ability to hear what we like and discount everything else."

Thanks for explaining to everyone else about the piss on plants but having grown organic veg for over 10 years now. I know my piss is good piss

If in garden. Piss directly on soil and then later pour water over. Won't go into my other piss collecting methods if can I store it. Very little goes into sewage system for me thus little into the sea

"490 light years away , don't think I'll make it

We traveling @ light speed. Would imagine perhaps using mechanical engineering... vibrating plate constant acceleration and will enable the ark to travel at speeds only limited by the ark structure with unlimited distances. Making interstellar space flight possible. This is proven science from 50 years ago. Like say don't have no boarding pass. Any black market passes on the go? "

Yeah, OK, you're travelling at light speeds ( in a vacuum presumably, which space isn't). Have you any idea how long it'll take you to get there, the whole 490 light years away?

How is it you think those nut job people are going to Mars in 20?? The time not being a factor for them. And yes the distance being way off the scale compared to Mars. However don't see time being much of a factor.

Its like willy wonkers great glass elevator. Stuff from an old book. Now kinda real. Solar powered lift upto space. NASA some years ago ran a competition. Just like the Ted lectures submitted proposals for competitions funny NASA entered their own team, was on BBC I heard but I ain't owned a TV in 15 years, but sure their team spoke about it and their idea was great solar powered glass elevator strayed off reply there and subject matter all was trying to say is fiction often becomes fact as technology advances. The distance can be overcome but to be honest I can't say how long would take at this time

Crazy people are often the most interesting! We tend to attract nutters wherever we go - especially in pubs. None of them listen to a word you say, and don't care an iota about things like evidence, they have TRUTH!!! (sic) on their side.

Sitting here powering my PC by a homemade Stirling engine harvesting the waste heat generated by the PC. Aren't Stirling engines great?

Hey nice one. About the stirling engine. I have one on my PC and one on table lamp ticking away.

Yes they are great. Glad you have one.

No I wasn't disagreeing with you on the piss for fertiliser, I use it myself (not the wife's though).

I agree with you on lots of points, most are the intrinsic beliefs of hippydom,a belief structure I love myself, but I do like my science and I just can't see how you'd generate enough hydrogen from piss without putting as much electric current through it as you'd get out energy from the hydrogen!

Enjoyed your reply....as the song if your going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair popped into my head.

Glad you are open minded and agree with some points I've made. Is some knowledgeable and interesting people on fabs forums sadly never seem to be in south west

What if the energy put in was a small amount and the energy made from that small amount becomes a larger amount breaking a few rules of physics at same time and thus this larger current makes for free hydrogen. I know is not that simple to explain and that don't explain shit on the actual process but will have to do for the forum. It isn't that I don't want to discuss it. I do its really I'm gonna get more mail calling me a nutter and no doubt a pile....of I'm wrong and abuse basicly. Here won't be any different than the real world. When you talk about stuff like this one the first things people bring up is tin foil hat. Not that foil would do shit, but not so much of a silly thing now after all radiation from Wi-Fi mobile masts, cars, etc emf shit. I'm hard wired. No WiFi for me. No wonder banded it in German schools...ain't safe one bit but....this stayed off point.

I'm sure in a social environment would never run out of things to say or hear in your company given your posts on here.

Hope you have an inspiring day

I just spotted this statement you posted earlier.

"Have built a generator. Chucked physics out the window twice and powered a generator out of piss over a year ago.."

So are you still using this generator? If so i'd love one myself (who wouldn't want to cut their bills!) and would gladly pay you to make one for me. I could also put you in contact with some people that would invest huge sums in such a machine for the benefit of mankind.

If not? Why? If it's providing you with free electricity why would you stop using it?

"NASA found a new planet... called it Kepler-186f

They say is same size as our earth..the first Earth-size planet orbiting a star in the "habitable zone".

"

The Kepler Field is producing some very interesting things.

For some celestial sound files, take a look at:

http://sampleswap.org/filebrowser-new.php?d=SFX+and+UNUSUAL+SOUNDS%2FReal+Outer+Space+Noises%2F

Kepler ID 76710801 is particularly interesting; as the star pulsates (the recording in the link above is a transformation of the light pulsation into sound).

The pulsation, caused by changing magnetic fields, was discovered 111 years ago but, so far, the change in intensity over time cannot be explained.

It's possible that an extremely advance civilisation might be able to modulate the brightness of the star for some reason; maybe to act as a beacon?

COI; I have BOINC running in the background of my computers.

This is very interesting. Thanks for sharing my good man. Will be having a listen and also prompts some further reading as even from your own or possibly others interpretation of why the intensity is changing over time, it prompts further study on a personal level.

Yes I have seen some of the projects that go on as a result of BOINC and others like it. Personally think the uni Berkeley? Controls boinc? So have never used it really. But thanks for that info will check it out
