little house on the praire

My stomach is so bloated (don't know why) I think I'm going to pop.

I'm lying in bed visualising bits of body hanging of the chandelier when they find me

Try drinking some fizzy drinks until you hit your safety valve!

I'm sure it'll all sort itself out, but if it doesn't in a day or so get it looked at, seriously!

I know someone who had similar symptoms a couple of years ago and had to have a bit of an op...

Like I say, I'm sure all is fine and you'll be ok in the morning and totally unrelated but don't take any chances if it persists!

Not eaten enough? And your body is trying to digest the food it normally gets but hasn't been given? So stomach acid builds up with nothing to do.. except inflate you like a spherical thing.

Possibly?

An enema works wonders in such circumstances.

I think it is trapped wind I mostly get it in my shoulder, I've just made some peppermint tea as that's what I also have for that and I've walked around a bit, but its so painful

Gaviscon or rennies, but if it keeps happening you might need omeprazole. Before I had these I sometimes felt like someone was blowing a balloon up in my tum.

Shoulder is where abdo gasses collect, if you have been pumped with air for an op that's where people describe the pain. The things you are already doing such as Peppermint tea, walking, massage are the best things you can do. Hopefully it will all culminate in one huge, knicker splitting fart that will make you feel good and of course wake the neighbours who will phone the papers to report experiencing an earthquake

I had peppermint tea and walked and massaged my belly, its still there but just feels like a lead weight the intensity of it has gone so I'm going to make some more peppermint tea.
