Just read an article on people being fined £100 for motoring offences.

Would love to know what she was upto!

And why it was the driver that was fined!!

"And why it was the driver that was fined!!"

Because the driver is the one responsible for the car.

The driver is the one controlling the car and should be in full control at all times.

Was she changing the pre-set radio stations? If so, hang her!

That bit was tongue in cheek!

So nothing happened to the lady?"

Why would it? It's up to the driver to be responsible for what happens in the car.

They're the one with the license.

Depending on what exactly the woman was doing, she may not have broken any laws.

The driver, however, was continuing to drive whilst distracted which is illegal.

Think you've misunderstood the op's question, - he's actually asking what it was...not whether it was justified in fining. "

That response wasn't to the OP though, which should be clear as I quoted the post - commenting on the penalty - I was replying to.

Although actually the OP did also ask why it was the driver who was held responsible.

"Acts of female passenger"

In my experience, passenger means not driving.

If you can't manage getting your dick sucked whilst maintaining full control of your vehicle, you shouldn't be diving

If you allow anyone to suck your dick whilst driving, you shouldn't be driving.

"

If that were the case, I'd of thought that it would of been mentioned in the highway code.

Juggling whilst driving is not a good idea. Wearing a blindfold whilst driving isn't a good idea. Applying mascara whilst driving isn't a good idea.

I don't recall any of those being mentioned specifically in the Highway Code either.

Thankfully, would hate to have to give up juggling whilst driving.
