ALISON

GOLDFRAPP in Portsmouth last year was sublime.

I ended up with my elbows on the stage right in front of a stack of speakers.

It was a bit loud, but great.

Slayer at London Astoria or Radiohead at Glastonbury.

One was the massive but friendly moshpit and reign in blood played in full. Every fan of the electric guitar should experience a Slayer gig.

The other seeing a normally miserable twat happy. Radiohead were perfect that night. Everyone in crowd was freezing cold and wet, right place right time to play the gig of your life. The only time they ever have been that good.

I would have loved this.

I did see Mick Jones play with the Blockheads at the Ian Dury tribute concert. Glen Matlock also played and the singer was Robbie Williams. Surprisingly he won the crowd over and did an excellent job.
