This is aimed mainly at the ladies! However if any of you fella's out there have gone through this with your other half, please let us know how you coped with it as well!

We all know the menopause is a trying time for many of us, however I'm just wondering if being a swinger can help with our sex drive and wondered if any of you sexy ladies could help with some tips for me!

The HRT is helping but I would appreciate some advice from you ladies about how you have coped with this particular issue. I used to be highly sexual but that's gone awol and I'm hoping one day I will be 'me' again!

With me it's the total opposite, I've never had much of a sex drive over the years but since going through the menopause I've been having urges I never knew existed lol The only thing that bothered me was the hot flushes, hrt didn't help, but the doc put me on other tablets and they kept them at bay

I've just had to stop some chinese herbal medicine tablets as they were giving me palpitations...

I can't remember tbh, it's about 3 yrs since I last had them, I'm sure your doc will help, I told mine I was awake half the night with the sweats and as I drive for a living it wasn't good

My sex drive did not change, maybe it would of done had i taken the remedies most woman take.

It took two years for me from top to bottom, i took nothing just cold turkey and wine and chocolate

Any consolation you will feel so much better when you come through this.

The HRT i cannot answer to sexually, but have heard here and there it can put a dampener on things.

Hi Ladies,

Thanks so much for the replies! I know it's different for all of us, so hopefully it won't last too long! My docs have been real good and I'm doing all I can to help myself, so hoping the sex drive comes back very soon!

hasn't affected my sex drive, the worst thing is hot flushes I have to keep drinking cold water to cool me down.

have been going through it for 5 years now and they say it can last for 15 years.

Have you got thyroid issues to go with the other changes? Underactive thyroid is a real libido killer.

I had cancer a few years ago and because I was only 31 they offered me no hrt. Going through it the natural way os not good for me as it has seen me go from a 5 times a day plus nympho gagging for it all the time to nothing. I am 5 years in so hope I can see some return of my drive soon xx
