Last time I was in a gay bar was in the nyc downlow at glasto.....was a tribute night to the late Frankie knuckles so was all house....good if your in the mood for house...

Time before that was the polo lounge in Glasgow, and that seemed to be fairly generic pop with a bit more of a dancy vibe going on downstairs...not bad but not my 'thing' either.....

I went in a gay bar once and all they played was culture club and jimmy sommerville. Stereotypical or what. I left after a swift pint.

We have just come back from The Dam and spent most of our drinking time in gay establishments. It was fun being checked out lol.... I also had a 'shop' owner offer me anything in the store if he could have my leather jacket (think it was mi jacket he wanted lol)

We find the people who frequent gay clubs/bars are generally more friendly and there is never any trouble...

Last time we were in Brighton we were in a club and one guy bumped into another and spilled his drink everywhere.... Loads of apologies ensued and they both proceeded to mop up.... I bet in a straight bar there would have been a fight...

Liz plays the part of 'Rita' my Fag Hag when we camp it up...always have to point out I'm straight when asked lol

I have a great idea for a telly programme. It's called Straight eye for a queer guy. A bunch of straight guys take a gay guy shopping, fit him out in primani gear, a football shirt and piss off down the pub for the evening, kick the jukebox and no hi energy within a mile

Was in a gay pub last week and the music was good,was in mixed company and would go again.Did chat to a lovely English girl i was tempted to tell her i was a lesbian trapped in a mans body lol.

The gay pub just reminded me of the rock club i go to in that its a laid back fun crowd who go,seen girls kissing etc and no one leers over them also some cross dressers go now and again and no hassles from the rock crowd.

Gay clubs play the worst music of all clubs. Universally shit. Why is there an urban myth that gay people have taste? I know lots of gay guys and one of the things they all have in common is awful taste. They've got porcelain figurines FFS!

My TV friend at work goes and says it's great fun....looking forward to our keep fit aerobic class...

Ps, whilst on the subject...was maybe thinking of going in some of my leather Fet clothes...leather kilt, Newrocks and nothing else. Is that appropriate there?... I've asked on Twitter but no reply yet....no problem with wearing my glam street clothes

Back in the 90's i used to DJ at the biggest gay club in bristol, at the time for me it had the best atmosphere, the most up for it people and the best party vibe ever !

It evolved into a mixed club due to so many people of all orientations wanting to be there partying lol.

I wouldnt say that gay clubs are the best but they certainly know how to party

You can't say the music was "better", how good music is depends on your specific taste, so, as a gay person, obviously you'd like music in a gay bar because it's tailored towards people like yourself
