As beginners to the delights of rope bondage I was wondering which procedure you would recommend we try first?

We have 10 metres of soft red 10mm rope. I know it won't go far but it's a start. B&Q is just down the road for more supplies if required

Firstly, get some safety shears, secondly, don't be afraid to cut your rope if needed, thirdly, get on you tube and watch some instructional videos, fourthly practice practice practice, oh and make sure you have fun.

Be very careful with rope from B&Q it'll give some nasty burns if you're not careful. Look out for some silk rope, it's lurvely.

so long as it's not stretchy (or elasticated) you should be good .. I find once tied/restrained, any pull and you begin to cut off circulation. How you tie or bind also affects this though the rope itself does have considerable effect too, just to say

Go to a rope group if you can find one.. learn to tie safely not restricting blood supply or nerve routes.. make sure your bunny (victim ) is happy, comfortable and went for a wee before you start.. a rope bra or corset are good projects.

If you are going to use washing line, make sure you have a hook bladed Stanley knife to cut them out afterwards.

That is if you want to cut them free of course

I've got special surgical scissors with blunted ends in case of emergencies

When we first started we brought 6 mm Cotton rope from ebay got 20m for £2.99 it worked pretty well. I took small lengths to work and practiced tying knots (on the sly) you'll find a few knots is all you need once you've got the basic idea that the knots you tie shouldn't get tighter and restrict blood flow. Plenty of stuff on the net to look at we even went to our local club to watch how the professionals do it they take it way to seriously for us! but seams they where more interested in the rope than what to do with the girls that where bound lol still good to watch though.

No good on washing line, I would suggest a machete or kukri blade

Yes we are not thinking of becoming too entwined and tied up in the very cliquey rope world. Just some nice designs safely carried out.

We attended a rope workshop at the Townhouse club, it was brilliant - as the available room afterwards would attest to!
