Ok there is lots of comments regarding oh the irony...now I've never been the brightest spark and I will admit I don't really understand the definition of Irony so I'm attending the fab school today to get some examples so I can better understand it and I'm sure it can be misinterpreted at times

Example - the person who championed and designed a one way road system loses their job because they're constantly late for work, due to the one way road system.

Sarcasm can be considered a form of irony but not all irony is sarcastic.

Bit like dogs being a kind of animal but not all animals being dogs.

However it is ironic that many people actually think sarcasm is irony.

He messages a single female who gave advice on his original thread. He matches all the criteria she stipulates she's looking for in a man. He has the kind of pics she said she likes. His message is specific to her and not cut and pasted.

She deletes his message without reading it.

Could be but a better case would be that a guy makes a profile to try and impress, asks for advice, takes it, still gets nowhere. Then finally puts on a profile that actually shows him as he really is and starts to get success.

The irony is if he'd just been himself in the first place he would have been successful from the start.
