What do you think

I wonder myself how you can debate before hand yet no information on what polices are being put forward ?

CaMoron has backed himself into a no win corner...

If he attends the debates during the election campaign he will be portrayed as a weak willed man who tried to manipulate the mass media for his own ends, failed and then came skulking to the debates trying to curry favour with the electorite. If he stick to his guns he is running scared.

Seems the man is living up to Obama's first assessment of him as a light weight... I suppose he will look for some way to spin it to make it sound as if he has won something, bit like he and Osborn did with the EU rebate that they claimed to win but was ours all along.

It's a lose lose situation for him the only slight winning hand is not turning up.

I'm not particularly big on TV debates I find them very boring and they usually just spend the time slagging each other off rather than bigging themselves up.

Except they are all basically the same arent they.

Spoilt children having silly little arguments in parliament while fleecing the nation and blaming our need for austerity on benefit claimants.. while big corporations pay next to nothing in tax... but plenty in political donations.

Tough call. I don't particularly think the debates are a good idea as it just adds to the mentality of dumbing down politics. In my opinion it is one American import that we can do without. Whatever next... will we be voting in whoever gets most Facebook likes?

Having said that, the debates are here now and all this ducking and diving is not helping Camerons kudos at all. It does make it seem like he is running scared and I don't see the need for that.

PMQs in bizarro world, maybe.

Cameron is terrified of a head to head with Miliband, because both he and the Tory spinners know that unlike the media image that they have managed to spread through the media, Miliband is in fact no fool.

He will eat Cameron alive in a tv debate, so there is literally nothing to be gained from the PM's perspective.

Of course, the British public aren't completely stupid, and they see that his reason for not wanting the debate is simply that he is scared. It's lose / lose for Dave.

You obviously never listen to it. They are equally miserable in PMQs.

If he thought he stood a chance against Miliband in a head to head, a calm debate without a coterie of buffoons jeering him along, he would be all over the opportunity this debate provides.

Both he, and his advisors, are fully aware that he has no real aptitude for debate. If he gets dragged into the head to head to save face, it will be a disaster for him.

He will choose the lesser of two evils, which is to be supposed to be a coward, rather than proved to be a fool.

For the televised debate why shouldn't there be someone representing the spoilt ballot vote? This is a choice in our democratic country that is not encouraged especially as every other vote choice is going to be represented. It would show how unhappy the nation is with its corrupt and uncaring politicians who once in office do not enforce any of the policies you voted them for. Hence every Europe election I spoil my vote rather than vote for someone who couldn't care less about me in the first place. By doing this I am using my democratic right instead of not turning up to vote.

Separately I voted for Cameron and not one of his policies were enforced and yet he or his party are not held accountable until an election.Also Milliband has never had a proper job so I do not understand what qualifies him for a workers party leader.Rant Thursday submitted

As far as i'm concerned, in May I will be voting for politicians based on policies and their competence, not on their performance in front of a television camera.

I take a fair interest in politics and often watch the commons on TV. I have to say that I have not once seen Milliband outsmart Cameron at PMQ's or on anything else. That said, I am rather glad that he is the leader of the Labour party (rather than his brother David) as it just ensures that Labour have no chance of being elected to office with him at the helm.

Neil Kinnock was unelectable during the 80's, but I'm of the opinion that Ed Milliband is an even bigger liability.

At least Neil Kinnock was likeable. You wouldn't want him running the country, but you'd have a cuppa with him.
