Difference betwwen couples in a relationship and those who just swing together?

Just thought I would start a discussion on this subject and get other peoples thoughts on it;

I am one half of a couple on here, we met through fab and have reached the point where we respect & trust each other well enough that we feel ready to play as a 'couple'.

There are differing views on this I have come across as some couples are happy with this arrangement, yet others only want to to meet genuine or loving couples. I always totally respect anyones views on who they meet and what they do but I wanted to see other peoples thoughts on this;

Is there really a difference? Are there not many 'real' couples who may have a lesser relation ship that my buddy and I?

We are looking to meet people for the same reasons as everyone else - to share and explore experiences together, to make friends and to have fun...

We are not a couple, in the sense that we do not live together.

Like you we met on Fab and decided that to broaden horizons, we would play as a couple.

Does it make us any less 'fun' than a couple in a marriage or relationship. I doubt it.

I think I quite agree with you with this definition within the scene. Lets face it we are all in "relationships" of some sort with many people at work, at home, in our leisure time etc.

And I am wondering whether we need other people's approval of what we individually define as our relationships, anyway?

Yes we are in a relationship, maybe not in the conventional sense of the word. But then again who wants to be conventional.

We certainly don't look for other people approval, just to enjoy each others company

maybe not the best word, but in the sense of either a marriage or a partnership

Don’t think there’s any difference, although more often than not in these type of circumstances, the male half is normally just using the female to get more meets.

We are here to enjoy a little NSA discreet fun, with "couples", ie, a man and a woman. Our playmates or potential playmates don't have to be married, courting, or in any kind of relationship.

We are happy with what we do, and are comfortable in our relationship. We don't have any "issues" and even if our playmates do, they are their issues and it's up to them to deal with them.

We aren't looking for life buddies or even close friendship, and are able and happy to just walk away after.

Having said that though, we have made loads of new friends over the last couple of years.

We understand that other couples will see it differently. Some will feel the need to form a close friendship before having sexy fun.

We will happily meet singles who want to team up, to party with us

In my view if a man and woman decide they will swing together regularly then thats a couple in my eyes. Im not interested in what they do outside of swinging.
