We just want to share our recent experience in this page regarding other users.

We've been talking with a couple today and they ask for face pics. As they seemed lovely and nice we sent them and 3 minutes later they had blocked us... Is it normal? Now we cannot talk with them so there is no way of knowing what happened. Any comment on that??

I think that if they are not interested they can just say is as now they have our pics. I think it's really rude to block us without even saying anything.

This is contradictory with most of the people here who are extremely kind and nice

Just take it as a sign of not being interested, some block and some are polite and tell you, either way it's the same thing.

Some ask for face pics feel that there is no sexual connection and you are not for them and block you. It's common occurrence on here as peopke don't want to end up in endless messaging with people they are not going to meet

They didn't fancy you but couldn't say for whatever reason. You can delete attached pics from sent messages I think.

Blocking you is easier than saying they're not interested & by blocking you it ensure's they dont contact you in the future not realizing they have already had you pic's

I feel you confusion op, sadly some people do this. I take it as a no thanks and their bluntness proves that they wouldn't have been nice to meet anyway. I now think of it as a way of saving me energy on people that don't deserve it

It is but it happens and its happened to us. We laughed about it and took the Mickey out of each other for ages saying it was each other's ugly mug that put them off

I agree with the comment that it's not at all pleasant or courteous given that you have had pleasant conversation up to that point.. I guess they just felt too embarrassed to explain what they felt and the easy option was to block.

I kind of think if you're going to block, you may as well politely explain why you're not interested as there won't be any come back and at least they're not left wondering like the OP is.

I agree. We only block in 2 circumstances.

1. Unwanted friend requests from people who we have never made any kind of contact with.

2. People who send us messages when they clearly haven't bothered to read our profile.

If the conversation had been going well then a no thanks might have been nice but some people can't take that as a no and want to know why, start pleading or hurling abuse. We block people who arent our type save them message a couple of weeks later.

Manners as we all know it seem to go outta the window a bit on here... Not totaly but to some degree.. You do need a thick skin for sure. Many do what you have described... If we are not interested then we tend to give a polite no thanks, not what we looking for ( then block before the why's and insults start flying! Lol)

Don't take it to heart and be happy in the fact they prob aint worth no more of your time... And just move on to those who are.

We block people for many of our own reasons and blocked they will stay, unless we have a change of mind .. Move on and keep smiling!

It beats them saying we don't wish to meet and then being asked why and so on. Not everyone would want to know why or would try to work round a no, but enough do, so it's easier to avoid entering into further correspondence.

No, it's not normal. It's incredibly rude. Some people are just ignorant, arrogant or both.

No thank you would just have done the trick.

I block if getting hassled or rude messages, but if in conversation with someone I always try to be polite.

Keep cool and carry on. X

I don't know if it is normal but some people on the forum say they do it but that's only a small percentage of the site.

I think it is rude myself and if we were not into someone after having a conversation about a potential meet then we would mail and say so.
