just having a look through my profile and i just realised i've been on fab two years this month....can't work out the exact date but still, it got me thinking and reflecting on my time here from brand new green horn to now....

I have to say, when i joined, i wasn't expecting quite what i found....i got a hell of alot more....

starting off like so many other guys, joining up for a bit of fun, i soon found it wasn't quite the fuck fest i was expecting....far from it...i got nothing at all for a wee while...so, time to buck my ideas up i thought...so i got me some half way ok photo's up, got photo verified, started making some real efffort with my profile...changed my name to....well....to my own name (i was called daddy longstroke on joining...i know, i know....) set my face as my avatar and not being one to roll over and give up...redoubled my efforts. for all this i found my first meet! wahey....nita2...what a woman...i arrived at hers and didn't leave for seven weeks...yup....seven weeks, we went mental for each other for a time, and she remains a close friend now...

since those days i've never really looked at fab the same....

i went on to meet a couple at the isle of wight festival while on tour, and that was it...i was truly hooked!

it even inspired me to go and loose a load of weight so in a way, fab has made me more healthy, and self confident (the self confidence is still a work in progress i admit)..

since then i've met a few good people i've been lucky enough to call friend....i've travelled to new places to meet folk and been shown some of the best hospitality a man could ask for. i've experienced heavy emotion, i've laughed so hard i've cried, i've loved, i've hurt, i've found frienship unlooked for and seen things i never would have if it wasn't for fab....

i've also come to know these forums like a strange and dysfunctional family who i wouldn't change for anything..some of you i know more about than some of my own family members if the truth be told......

anyhow....for fear of going on too long, i just wanted to say thankyou....to all of you that i've met, to those of you i haven't yet met and to those of you i'll probably never meet, to those who like me, to those who don't, i thank you all....each and every one of you, because it's you, the people of fab that make it what it is...i hope to know you all a good long time yet because as long as fab continues, i'll be here loving, hurting, laughing and whatever else the fab future holds for me.....

here's to many more years of shits and giggles with you all!!

I love this place and I have made loads of lovely friends on here so I get all excited when others love it too

You are right to celebrate you two(ish) year anniversary and I hope you do get cake!

That's so lovely. I've been here about 2 years too. I've had amazing adventures and met some great people and found one man in particular who is a great friend (and tremendous lover). I would also say that I've changed in some ways and learnt a lot which has helped me elsewhere. Good to hear positive things

You're a wonderful bloke, glad you're enjoying yourself, and very glad Iv had the oppertunity to get to know you abit and meet you, I joined the site out of curiosity, and have yet to use it as intended,(not for lack of trying, been stood up a couple of times!)

but ppl like yourself, and some of the others Iv got chatting to make it well worth it, my drive and interests have often made me feel like there is something wrong with me, but Iv learnt that Im far from the only 1! xxx

Was actually you I was thinking of when I mentioned hospitality.....I arrived at yours sunburned and soaked in mud (how you can get soggy and sunburned I'll never bloody know) and you bathed me (not literally!) Fed me and washed my clothes....that's pretty biblical....thankyou....

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

I joined back in October 2011, hoping to get laid a few times...didn't expect to make quite as many friends as I have and as for the Wyrd One, I'm still trying to shake her off

I've travelled all over the country visiting swingers clubs and I'm pretty sure wherever I go I can arrange meets either for sex or just a catch up with a mate...this Easter will see me and Diamondsmiles having our third Spa day catch up when I'm on my annual chill out week and later in the year Wyrd and I will be spending best part of a week together at Swingfields then down to Brighton for a couple of days

I love this site, but I think I wouldn't have made as many friends if the fora didn't exist.

Oh, and Christos - you're still on my list of Forumites to meet up with

So nice to see a positive thread!

I was contemplating my Fab journey, over a similar time period. I joined, left, joined again.

It took me a while to settle into my current online persona, a tactic I call "being me".

The last few months have been incredible though. I arrived with massive insecurities, hoping to fuck my way through my issues. That didn't work.

My profile evolvef, but I still had massive insecurities about my looks. Then I started fannying around in the forums. How the world changed!

Lots of interesting, sexy, rude, ignorant, intelligent, argumentative, sycophantic, honest, brutal, egotistical and genuine people. All with an opinion, all a person behind the avatar (or shadow).

So after giving up on the cycle of send message, send face pic, get blocked with the people surrounding popcorn on the couch, I just got amonst it.

Thanks to my friends on the forum, I know I am a goid looking chap with a lot to offer.
