Hotel pricciples

I live on the South East coast and at this time of year Hotel/B&B costs are higher than the rest of the year, approx £60/80 per night

Since I've not had a meet place, I have a lot of guys offering to pay for a room but as at the moment I'm not i a position to help with the costs I say no, this is because

a, I don't think it is fair they should foot the whole bill ( not forgetting they also have fuel costs )

b, I think it is wrong that these establishments put up their rates because of the summer season

c, No matter how good the sex could be, it's not worth paying £80 a night for

d, It could turn out to be a disaster and you don't click in the bedroom

I have been told that I shouldn't have these principles, am I wrong

the principal thing is that you want to join so in principle it should not matter who pays because in principle if they are happy to pay then this is the principal thing.

There must be plenty of guys not a hundred miles away so why not have a social meet first to see if you do click and if the guy is willing and able to pay for a hotel room then let him. If he doesn't want to I'm sure he won't.

If you feel that way and are pushed into meeting up you will possibly feel unconformable due to the above reasons you stated and possibly increasing the tension and chances of a less successful meet. You stick to your guns if that's how you feel.

so principally, they are right in sticking with the principles - irrespectively of whether others agree to them or not as the nature of a principlist is about standing up for one's principles

Principles are fine - but if they are willing to pay then let them.

Just meet in the bar first and have a few glasses and chat and see if you click.

If you do then you have a room.

If you dont - he has a room so he doesnt have to drive all the way back there and then.

Great on both sides in my opinion

if so, then it is pride, not principles..nothing wrong with either, but pride can sometimes be an unnecessary obstruction

I personally would like to contribute, even if the gent is solvent enough to foot the bill for everything.

I hate to feel I am a sponger or a free-loader.

Point b: this is purely a business thing. Hotels do not "put up" their rates for the summer. They carefully calculate running costs across the year and then divvy up the costs to make a bit more in the summer and special seasons when business is brisk which subsidises them staying open in the lean times.

If you ran a similar business you would do the same I can assure you.
