Ok people time to clear up a debate between myself and hubby!!

I say if you "get off" with someone it means kissing and if you "get it on" with someone that means u have sex.

Hubby says its the other way around!

Please people help me prove him wrong!

I would say hubby would get a serious slap round the chops employing his interpretation of getting off with someone in a pub!

Getting off with someone is kissing or snogging.

Getting it off is snogging getting it on is sex. Having it off used to mean sex also maybe that's what he was thinking

Getting off with is snogging. Maybe a fondle. Getting it on is fucking. If the husband still disagrees, play him some Marvin Gaye, dance for him and then ask if "Let's get it on" means kissing...

I thought 'get off' with someone meant you'd cum.

I think both phrases are used loosely and could refer to the same things. I view them as both having more than one definition.

I've left school now so I no longer get of with people. I have never used the term getting it on and apart from the M Gaye song I have never really heard it either.

If it's just a snog and and fondle I'll say we never fucked , if we've fucked I'll say we've fucked.

If I've got off I've cum.

Round here, the term "getting off with someone" generally means pulling someone and that could be a snog or full on sex. I've never "got it on" with anyone

OP is most definitely correct on this one!

Getting off with someone is sooking the face off them

Getting it on is when the Barry White records get put on and you get down to buisness
