My immediate reaction is fight

That could result in death or injury so I should give myself time to assess first

You might knock me down....

But if you expect me to stay there - you're gonna need backup....

Stand my ground. Stare them down.

Most don't want to fight. I face confrontation every day for the last 16yrs...hardly ever is it fight.

But when it is...bring everything. In my job, it can be deadly if you don't.

Option three first, quick thinking. Then fight, then flight as a rule......

I'm option 4, rabbit trapped in headlights - I freeze. Or cry.

I wear them down with patient, logical argument. If that doesn't work I make them feel guilty about hitting me in the face.

Either way they normally give in eventually...

Physically, I'm not much of a runner so it would be fight everytime.

When it comes to verbal confrontation, I will fight my corner. If it's unnecessary drama from somebody who just wants to shit-stir I will cut them down and then cut them out of my life for good, so I guess that's flight if you remove yourself from the situation...

I think pretty much everyone is fight! I'm suprised

I fight, but if I don't get some sort of sign, then I'm gone.

So primarily flight

In self defence I can fight if needs must.

I have a license to lose so fighting unnecessarily means I,d opt for flight by assertive means to responsibly diffuse a heated scenario.

In younger years though fight without hesitation with a good record of win rate.

Mostly bravado I think. In a dangerous environment people reassess their position. Few fly in where fools fear to tread.

Theoretically we would fight, but instinct is to preserve energy....and limbs

Stand there and look like you don't give a shit while looking for the easiest out. Then walk away calmly.

Try & diffuse the situation if possible but otherwise depends on the situation.

Self preservation. I fight to find the truth. Then walk.

I've been in a couple of hairy situations where fast talking and humour have defused it, but flight would be my default setting although if push came to shove, I'm fairly sure I'd fight

I just ignore ~ am not giving them the satisfaction by responding to their intimidation.

Just keep the fist clenched tight in readiness.
