After an interesting thread yesterday i got thinking. Of a hopefully nice lighthearted game...

So, we are in the aftermath of the nuclear apocalypse and only the members of this forum have survived.

We need to rebuild the world, resources are scarce and civilisation as we knew it has gone.

Nominate yourself for a role in the new fab world.

Very simple to make. I learned how when I was about 8 years old, from a fifties "pictorial knowledge " encylopedia. And no, I'm not going to tell you how.

With my Hotel management skills, I would look after all accommodation logistics, also could assist in Food services.

Somewhere along the line you would need someone to handle the communications, even PR side of things.

I also possess security management skills, which could be incorporated into the admin mix.

I could start a splinter religion, based on a fundamental theological difference. mine would be, 'how it has to be, or you burn'.

we could then raise our own tribes, argue with each other whose imaginary sky God is the best, go to war, retreat, develop ever more destructive weapons and poisonous ideology, go to war again, terrorise each other and abuse the weak or anyone who doesn't have a penis...

Whilst all the other gentlemen are scavenging for weapon parts, ammunition, explosives etc I will use my multi purpose rope to improvise shelters, scale walls, abseil down cliffs, lassoo food, lynch dissenters and entertain the laydees whilst you are hunting/gathering

Airports are an easy start, they have armed personnel right?........

Good place to set up base in fact...loads of infrastructure, room for plenty people, veichles, fuel depots, kitchens, stock of all the essentialls, very defensible control tower, good motorway access for scavenging details to go out on....can think of worse places....

I'd devote myself to the cause of survival round the clock.

During daylight I'd either put my building skills to good use in making a commandeered base a fortress, or aquire both vehicles and supplies. I can start most vehicles without keys and drive transporters for the former and if we had an enemy such as bands of post-apocalyptic savages to encounter, chances are they would identify supermarkets as locations to be defended so I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. Instead Id hit the supermarket DC's. They're mostly in unpopulated areas as the vast tracts of land currently required for them are cheaper, they usually contain as much provisions as 100 supermarkets sell in a month, and not many people know where they are. But I do even without satnav technology. Has to be some advantage of blasting around every road in these islands for 4 years, lol!

And for the night hours? Why I would enrol myself wholeheartedly in the breeding program being set up, gladly accepting The Butt's delicious fluffing between each successful mating taking place...

Selfless, I know.
