I've been a few times. Last time was last year. I wasn't overly impressed and left buying nowt. Milton Keynes is better for shopping.

If over priced company merchandised products are your thing. You'll love it

I'm in Banbury this month for work and I was saving Bicester for a rainy day out.

Anyone fancy a social over coffee or a meal?

It's gets pretty busy and parking can be a ballache but great place to pick up a few bargains if you look hard.

I think bargains should be in inverted commas

Best time to go is about 6pm/7pm midweek evenings , anyone who goes on a weekend seriously needs looking at.

Lots of look at me's, all carrying their mulberry and prada bags around, also half the population of the Far East towing round suitcases (assume to put the goods in?!)

Still, I like the Ralph Lauren and Timberland stores. Choice even for a strapping lad like me !!

Catthorpe

It's good. If you like your labels you'll find some good discounted Prada clothing.

Don't let the detractors put you off. Nowadays I am more likely to go to Portsmouth gun wharf or Wembley. Bicester is for something a little special

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The Chinese have it as THE British tourist destination to visit. So much so that the shops will take Yen.

I haven't been for over 10 years so I can't comment now but I liked it then.

I keep thinking I must go as it's so close...then I remember i'm saving money to make the biggest purchase of my life. Prada handbag can wait.

Central

It was shown on tv that a lot of the clothes are made exclusively for the outlet shops. The comparison prices are for similar items, which are typically superior quality.

I've not been to this venue so can't give feedback.

Northampton Somewhere

You won't get a bargain there. It's still very expensive designer stuff :/

Makes sure you get there before 10 am at weekends as it's so busy.

It's a right rip-off! I find Cheshire Oaks in Ellesmere Port much better value. I think you pay a premium for the area in Bicester.

Bicester is nice, we it used to be in the 80 when my Nan lived there!

Shopping - do it online and spend the time doing more exciting stuff

"Different shops to Cheshire oaks"
All the same brands are available at both outlets with the exception of a few.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

There appear to be discounts on higher end stuff - I can't speak with authority, but can't imagine Alexander mcqueen producing goods specifically for a couple of outlet stores...it would be even lower volume production than their main lines. Plus, have seen the same shirts in HoF Bristol turn up in Paul Smith outlet.

The place is full of Oriental tourists though, and they have no manners, no spatial awareness, no English (my Japanese is non existent, but if I went there, I'd try!).

Swindon is very different...much more "standard" brands (Hugo Boss is as high end as it gets, I think), less tourists, although fairly chavvy (although not a patch on Bluewater, which might be the chavviest place on earth). On the plus side, it's my nearest starbucks...

Check the offers section on website as there are sometimes printable discount vouchers. I used the RL one at York last weekend...
