Preferences are set for a reason. If you don't fit them then leave them alone.

No. The filter is in place for a reason, if you receive a message from somebody outside your filters it's because you have been in contact previously.

It can be frustrating if you want to message someone just out side the age range they have up.

But that's what its for and you have to respect that

The question the OP asked was 'can you' not 'should you' or 'would you' or even 'should I'

In answer to the question asked. Yes you can but only as set out below.

If someone messages you then you can reply to their message.

If they invite you as a friend and you accept then most filters no longer apply.

But the fact he wants to know if you can means he wants to which in turn leads to why.

Yes that too but on an odd occasion our age filters get knocked off somehow.

Its possible to change your age, send the message, then change it back again. Though I think a good idea (are you listening admin?) Might be to stop people editing their age willy nilly. You put in your d.o.b when registering, so the only reason to change it would be to lie.

But that is surely his business, not ours. As there is no way he can actually contact her directly without her consent by action first I see no problem with letting him no what he'd have to do.

It's frustrating when someone on the forum requests advice and I can't message them, as TG are excluded, but it's not the end of the world.

Actually I personally am in regular contact with a number of women were I am just outside their stated age range. Normal the result banter started either in the chat rooms or forums. I've even actually met a few of them.

Oh, almost forgot to say, I'd be willing to add you to the list to. LOL.
